OBAMACARE FALLOUT: WALMART ENDS INSURANCE FOR NEW HIRES
#1
Quote:And so the government takeover of our health care system begins:

Walmart, the nation’s largest private employer, plans to begin denying health insurance to newly hired employees who work fewer than 30 hours a week, according to a copy of the company’s policy obtained by The Huffington Post. …

Walmart declined to disclose how many of its roughly 1.4 million U.S. workers are vulnerable to losing medical insurance under its new policy. …

Labor and health care experts portrayed Walmart’s decision to exclude workers from its medical plans as an attempt to limit costs while taking advantage of the national health care reform known as Obamacare.

Among the key features of Obamacare is an expansion of Medicaid, the taxpayer-financed health insurance program for poor people.

Many of the Walmart workers who might be dropped from the company’s health care plans earn so little that they would qualify for the expanded Medicaid program, these experts said.

By making the fine for not providing health care cheaper than providing health care, this was always the plan: to encourage employers to send us to the government.

Remember how Obama's big ObamaCare sell was, "You get to keep the health insurance you have"?

It was all a lie, a hustle, a con, a ruse…

But now it's the law of the land … forever.

Many companies don't even offer healthcare for part time workers, so evidently Walmart was better than other companies up until now?

But yeah....you know what....America is going to get what she asked for. And it ain't pretty.

Cant help but laugh...Most of my more liberal friends who voted for Obama have been talking about this...When I pointed out that this is all due to Obamacare I thought they were going to blow a collective gasket.

Also, why is it expected that employers provide healthcare packages for employees ? This was something that I always looked at as a benefit or incentive to work for a company...not something that was required of the company.

Because people expect benefits for everything. Just like they were raised to believe everybody gets a trophy.

I thought WalMart already had a policy like this and encouraged workers to get on state funded insurance?
The law? The law is a human institution...

I think it USED to be an incentive. Now its a "right"..... kind of like eating steak and living in a nice home USED to be incentives to work hard to get a good job....

Well,

I'm sure those folks who will not have insurance will give Barry Bailout Bucks a call and thank him for it.

It's all part of the master plan. Destroy private insurance and drive people to nationalized healthcare. Enjoy.

^ This. And soooo many people fell for this it is ridiculous.

I am surprised, though. The fallout from Obamacare and the re-election is happening a lot faster than I thought it would.

Of course it will happen quickly, there is no longer any hope that things will change. With a Romney win, there was a CHANCE things could be turned around, now...nope. More of the same, why wait to see what might happen when now you know what will happen.
