Obamacare to be Launched with a Star-Studded Celebrity Propaganda Campaign
#1
The White House is working to recruit Hollywood celebrities to help promote ObamaCare, a top celebrity political adviser told The Hill.

Trevor Neilson, a veteran of the Clinton White House, said he’s in talks with the Obama administration and that his clients are “looking at ways to be involved.”

“I think the White House is very wise to identify partners to help market the Affordable Care Act,” Neilson said Tuesday. ”Just like any good product, when people are aware of the many benefits it provides, there will be increased demand.” The Obama administration is working on ways to sell its signature healthcare law to the public over the next six months. http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/hea...z2XKYF3yaP

If the program was worth the hundred thousand pages it was written on, the government wouldn't need a propaganda machine to spin it.

People ARE aware of what the program is, and. No matter what kind of dressing you put on a turd salad, it's still going to be a turd salad

Has there ever been a time in history when a President felt he had to advertise and promote a bill that had ALREADY BEEN PASSED???? If it's a great bill, then people will like it on the merits of it being a great bill.

If you have to spread lies....er....promote using propaganda (like the Germans did during WWII), then there is a major problem with the bill, and it never should have been passed.

I'm trying NOT to think about next year, because I'm pretty scared about my family's health care when I DO think about it. Probably right along with about 2/3 of the rest of the country.

It's going to be bad, everything is going up in cost. We are already seeing it where I work.

We're already maxed out with cost from the last premium increase. We can't afford any more increases. So if it jacks up even more, we're in big trouble.

And the only way to get the kids on CHIP is to be uninsured for six months, which will be illegal by next year.[/quote]

I'm no expert, but from what I understand, the "fines" for not having insurance are laughable and will not be much of a motivator for convincing people to purchase insurance.

The Republicans should be putting out ads with regular people reacting to the "sticker shock" of their new healthcare costs and then pointing out that the celebrities who are appearing in the Obama ads are millionares who don't have to worry about money if their kid gets sick. If the Republicans had half a brain between them they could turn this around by pointing out that wealthy stars have nothing in common with Joe Sixpack.

I might be convinced that's it's a good plan if all those who promote it drop their current plans and switch to Obamacare. That includes members of congress and Obama himself.

^^^^^ THIS. Any such legislation should be binding upon those who passed it.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

They don't have to do what the peasants do. They are better than the rest of us.
