OC at Lancaster KFC
#1
Been wanting to post this since my b'day, on Dec. 29th, when I saw a young man OC'ing in the Lancaster KFC. Not that I personally minded, since I was carrying concealed, and given the location, but Dude apparently made everyone else feel awfully uneasy, in that his underwear was literally showing, with his pants half way down his butt....

Point being, just because you can legally carry, sometimes you are not helping the cause by being so overt. Not to mention, it removes the element of surprise, should a situation present itself.

My two cents...

Who says he's trying to help some "cause?" I don't carry for a cause, except the cause of defending myself.

Are you serious? As many of us that open carry on a daily basis, you're gonna make stupid comment like that. Who gives a fuck if people are uncomfortable

No one, and it's not always about you.

I think the point being made is that if you OC you should present yourself as responsible. Pants falling down and underwear showing isn't super responsible.

It's not about the open carry that made them uncomfortable. It was the individual who didn't appear as though he knew which end of the weapon the bullet launched from.
For instance, do you open carry with your 9mm strapped to the side of your underwear?

The stupid comment is the one, like that above, made in haste, without facts, in an attempt to belittle the author by condescension.

For the 11 herbs and spices.

Thank you, Ruger. For a moment I was beginning to think that I had directly contacted "Underwear Boy", and his family members.

Not to mention that all of those who felt uncomfortable obviously don't carry or felt like I did, were older, seemingly a bit more mature, and most likely vote. In essence, they'd also most likely have no qualms in voting down YOUR right to OC. I have no qualms in OC'ing, just when you do, whether you like it or not, you represent the ENTIRE carry community. Please, therefore, put your big boy pants on.

Which KFC? Columbia Avenue, Manhiem Pike or Lincoln Highway?

Sidearm or no sidearm thug dress causes elevated awareness and concern.

99% of the time only a criminal needs to surprise someone with a weapon. Your concealment adds time to the deployment of your weapon if it is needed. Why would you need to surprise someone in a defensive action?
