OC encounter "with myself" LOL
#1
So I figured I'd share this Corny story with all of you.

Well first off I live with my friend and his GF and we are always looking at houses on the internet and then going out to look at them. We will drive out and look at 6-7 at a time. Yesterday we are out driving around and as usual I have my G23 with Serpa CQC. Well we are getting ready to look at our 7th house for that day and we were all thirsty and needing to use the restroom. I'm in the back seat paying no attention what so ever playing my friends daughters hand held video game. Next thing I know we have pulled up to a little strip mall that had a pizza shop and a few other businesses in it. I get out of the car and go inside. While I'm waiting for my friends GF to get out of the small bathroom I am reading the Pizza menu and He is out side smoking. While I'm reading the menu for some odd reason I say to myself "Ummmm is it me or were all the tags on the cars in the lot tagged in MD :/????"

So as I comprehend my random thought I put down the menu and casually walk out side. Low and behold we had the only PA TAG!!!!! I quickly sprint over to my friend and say "hey Chris! did we cross into MD!?" He says yeah why? I quickly walk to the jeep and unholster my firearm and walk back to him replying "dude I can't carry in MD!" lol We start laughing and I head back towards the bathroom... Thank God no one noticed Big Grin and especially with my luck a cop would normally be there for his lunch break or something. Big Grin 5 mins later we were back in PA and all was good....

RoflmaoRoflmao

So my advice, always pay attention when you are riding with a friend and carrying Big Grin

I live 4 miles from the Ohio line. I cannot confirm or deny that such a thing has happened to me by accident...

How is this funny?

I live very close to the MD line to begin with and had no clue we were in MD sense we were on all back roads even if I was paying attention there were no signs to tell you that you were. It was something I had to ask anyways to really know. Where the Pizza shop was I could pretty much walk across the MD/PA line lol.

I live on the PA/NJ border. I have it easy. If I cross a river, I could very well be in trouble lol

Maybe someone should make a Smart phone app that detects when you're within 100yards of the border and alerts you.

^This. While it can be easy to inadvertently cross state lines, as a responsible armed person, it is the carrier's responsibility to make sure they know what state they are in and the applicable laws. If the OP was arrested, I very much doubt a judge would look favorably on the defense of "Sorry, your Honor, I thought I was still in PA. Whoops."

^Great idea. I also like the idea of alerting you when you just got on a road that will inevitably take you over state lines (i.e. bridge from Philly to NJ) or let you know when you are approaching the last exit for your state.
