OCed in TDBank in center city Philadelphia.
#1
I was oc in td bank in Philly yesterday. I passed the ppd officer who was stationed there as I walked in and he did not say anything. But as I left he.........did not say anything. Sorry no drama no beat down. I must be very lucky to not have any real neg encounters while oc.

Just posting to show that it isn't always a crap sandwitch when oc in Philly.

Am I missing something here or are you being sarcastic? I've not seen any stipulation in the law regarding open carrying in banks in cities of the first class...

From the cases I've seen where PPD nails someone for shit that isn't legally enforceable it usually ends up in a pretty solid windfall settlement for the defendant at the cost of the headache. If the PPD want to arrest someone who will fight I say go right ahead when you're on the side of right, gives them a black eye every time. When some journalist exposes just how much money the city loses in these endless unlawful arrest settlements the population will catch on sooner or later and make them change even if the PD doesn't want to. Once a high profile re-election campaign is in jeopardy over something like major fiscal losses you'd be amazed how quickly the city gets its ass in gear*.

*this does not apply to the federal government though...lol!

Did the cop even notice you were carrying?

And is it normal to have on-duty uniformed police guarding banks in Philly?

As far back as I can remember some banks have had ppd stationed in their lobbies. Not all of them but more than a few.

I am being serious. I post my non encounters to let both sides of the story about oc in Philly out. If I ever get shit I will also post that.
