Ohio reciprocity.

I'm just confirming that my PA LTCF is no good in Ohio.

I'm not liking the idea of spending a few weeks in Akron for company mandated training, while being unarmed.

Need to get yourself a Utah permit, solves the problem nicely.

BTW, say hello to the old town for me while you are there (born and raised there)

According to the Attorney Generals website, Ohio is a no-go for your PA LTCF.

Sorry,

We got ours about a month ago, took the course from Jason Schaffer a while back. We were going to also get Arizona but the states we get from that aren't worth the price. We originally were going to get it to get South Carolina but those pricks have changed their rules so the license may or may not be accepted down there.

If you're pressed for time and can't get the Utah, try a Virginia. I know it doesn't cover what the Utah or Florida would but its easy to get (very easy) and Ohio accepts it as well as 29 other states. Smile

These states honor a Virginia CHP:
Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Wyoming.

I know this because I'm now a Virginia resident CHP holder. Smile
That embarrassing moment when you realize that most of your Facebook friends are on your forum ignore lists.

Yes but do those states honor no-resident Virginia licences? That's the million dollar question these days because several states have changed their laws so they no longer accept non-resident ones

Handy page to see what states honor which permits (and whether that permit is resident or non-resident)

http://www.usacarry.com/concealed_carry_..._maps.html

As I suspected (and the one state we are trying to get) South Carolina doesn't honor a Virginia non-resident permit

UT or FL are must haves. I travel into OH once a week at least and don't even have to think about disarming any more. The only way to go.
