OLD CITY - January 13, 2013 (WPVI) -- Shocked and frightened, witnesses could not believe the brutal club brawl in Old City that was all caught on tape.

It happened around 2:15 Sunday morning.

Dylee Gonzalez captured video from inside a bar on 2nd Street near Chestnut Street.

It shows at least one woman in the group being punched and kicked relentlessly.

"At one point I know she was being completely stomped out," said Gonzalez.

Police officers who were stationed nearby heard a gunshot fired and ran up the block. They arrived to find mayhem and people screaming.

Someone labeled the shooter in the crowd and police grabbed him. Officers say a black handgun fell from his waistband.

"As soon as he pulled out the gun, I ran away immediately," said Gonzalez.

And that is why I avoid Old City and most bars in Philadelphia. Every year I hate Philadelphia more and more.

So I'm trying to figure out who ad the gun. And at the same time why were they trying to fuck up the car from Jersey? Looks like they were simply trying to leave a parking lot.

Are there any details on this yet?

EDIT: I see it now. So the guy from Jersey was carrying a gun in his car... hmmmm....

I'm confused. Looked like a cop shot the guy in red at about 1:25.

From what I could see, the guy in the red jumped from the drivers seat of the white car being kicked. Possibly in defense of someone on the ground being attacked in front of the car. At about 00:41 you can hear what sounds like a gunshot after he approached the group on the ground in front of the car. He then moves back to the vehicle and then charges a person attacking someone in the group on the ground. This is where the police officer enters the scene and the guy in the red ends up on his ass after being dragged out of the group on the ground. Then someone comes at him and he begins pointing the gun (which can be seen more clearly, appears to be a revolver) at the person with the officer RIGHT NEXT TO HIM. He starts to get up when he gets punched in the face and drops the weapon which flies towards the officer who is now on the sidewalk. The officer kicks the gun, realizes what he kicked, and then attempts to taze the guy in the red. He runs off.
When they come for my guns; It is not my right, at that point,
but my responsibility to respond in the name of liberty.

Ahh I see it now. Went back and watched it on a computer. One more reason not to go to Philly.

Quote:A CAMDEN MAN accused of firing a gun during a street brawl early Sunday in Old City is an alleged gun trafficker facing indictment in New Jersey.

Christopher McRae, 28, was charged with resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and gun offenses for his role in a melee at 2nd and Chestnut streets just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

On May 23, McRae was arrested when he allegedly illegally sold a military-style rifle and other firearms on a Camden street. In that case, New Jersey State Police arrested him for allegedly selling an AK-47 assault rifle, a Glock 9mm pistol, a Hi Point .40-caliber pistol and a Ruger .357-caliber revolver.

Ugh... whatever.

This piece of shit came across the bridge from Camden.

If you want a good time in Philly, Center City is good but just avoid Old City on club nights. Mostly Thu-Sun evening. These brawls happen about 1x a month usually 2 or 3 in the summer. Always in that one area and it's always the same crowd over and over and it's the same nuisance clubs that most of the folks you see in the video go to. They're very concentrated in that one area.

Another reason why Philly's 2AM bar closing rule is stupid. If bars didn't have a closing hour then people would disperse at a slower rate and you wouldn't have this flood of human shit all on the streets all at once. 2:00 to 2:30AM is when all the bullshit starts outside places like this.

You don't see this shit in Rittenhouse because the civic associations over there come down on club owners with a hammer and threaten politicians with massive loss of support money and votes if they don't clamp down on ensuring clubs have all their licenses plus they also harass PLCB like crazy whenever a nuisance bar has attempted to open there.

Old City for some reason just attracts this crap like crazy.

There was a New Years bash planned a couple weeks ago that I found out about that was being catered to these douchebags---found the building owner's email address and attached him to some nastygrams that I sent to L&I and City Council. BOOM party canceled. They had to move it to a club on Spring Garden not far away from the PPD district there and there were cops posted all around it. Attendance was low after the hammer was thrown down on it.
