"My understanding is the vice president's going to provide a range of steps that we can take to reduce gun violence," said Obama. "Some of them will require legislation, some of them I can accomplish through executive action. And so I will be reviewing those today, and as I said, I will speak in more detail to what we're going to go ahead and propose later in the week. But I'm confident that there are some steps that we can take that don't require legislation and that are within my authority as president, and where you get a step that, has the opportunity to reduce the possibility of gun violence, then i want to go ahead and take it."

Yeah, I heard it.

Don't worry though, he's not interested in taking anything from "reasonable" shooters.

Wait for it.. . . . wait for it. . . . .
This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins. -Ben Franklin

He is an arrogant prick. His tone is infuriating. Because we continue supporting firearm ownership after the horror in Connecticut, we are somehow inhuman. He also said "if the Republicans feel like I do after Sandy Hook they will pass gun control".

If the Republicans don't hold the line here, they become irrelevant. If they can't stand with us on the second amendment they may as well be democrats.

all I can say is Angry

I would like to again take this time to thank ALL Obama voters for this piece of shit.

I watched his speech and press conference this morning/afternoon. When he stated that hunters and sportsmen have nothing to fear because these gun control measures will not affect them or their second amendment rights, I started uncontrollably laughing. THE SECOND AMENDMENT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HUNTING. And this guy was a constitutional law professor? Where did he teach, China?

It might as well have been, it was the University of Chicago. He wasn't a full professor by the way, he was a visiting lecturer, he turned down the opportunity when he was offered a professorship. Their statement Regarding Barack Obama is still up on their site.

Romney wasn't a much better option. He signed an AWB into law and spearheaded the negotiations to create it. It would be different if he just sat back and the bill appeared on his desk.

You should also thank the GOP for putting up a bunch of losers like Bachman, Santorum, Gingrich, Paul, Perry, and Cain.

Ron Paul was the only one consistently pushing for liberty. Between the GOP shutting him down at every turn, the media trying to demonize him and voters falling for Romneys bullshit, he didn't have much of a fair chance.

I agree he didn't get a fair shake, but I don't see many independents casting their votes for him. Remember a lot of peopled voted for Obama because of entitlements.
