Other uses for Weapon Shield
#1
The lock on my storage shed was getting pretty weathered and hard to open, just one drop of Weapon Shield into the key hole and one drop on each side of the body where the shackle goes into it made a world of difference. Any oil will work but this stuff didn't need any time to penetrate or get "worked in", it just freed it up immediately and it's been free ever since. This lock has been out in the weather for years and slowly showing it's age. Last winter when I would have expected it to be frozen it still worked smooth as silk. Since then I've tried it on hinges, latches and other friction points and found it to be great stuff wherever I put it.
Has anyone else used it for an application that wouldn't normally be associated with gun oil? What was your opinion?
I've also started putting a drop on each of my wheel lugs when I rotate/change tires. Any oil will work there but I have my Weapon Shield handy and it's my 'go to' oil now.

I just put some Weapon Shield in the padlock on the club's range road gate...it was a little sticky but now it works like new! I also use WS on all the locks at work. The City of Latrobe even buys the oiler pens to put WS in their parking meters...they say they work smoother and don't freeze up in the winter! Oh, and the squeaky door in my office is now silent (and my office smells like Weapon Shield every time I walk in!)

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

I've also found that a drop or two on a condom will allow her to open right up! Big Grin

It works great on anything. I've found for keys, to get the best results, put the key in and apply the WS to the groove. That groove really sucks it in and distributes it well... The only thing I don't use WS for is my every other month park oiling on my 1911. Then I just throw it in a gallon ziploc bag overnight hosed down with BreakFree CLP...

I put it on my woodworking clamps to keep away corrosion and keep them lubricated. I put a few drops on a rag and wipe it on.

I also use Weapon Shield to make copy and paste a lot smoother and easier.

A cheap lock that came with a security cable rusted slightly and wouldn't open with the key. A few drops of Weapon Shield and it opened up.
