Of course she blames Florida and ignores the actions of the Philadelphia Police Department, particularly the Gun Permit Unit. The whole defense of second amendment rights claim from her is so new I can't find a single source of her agreeing with the second amendment in any form prior to her run for Attorney General. What I can find, however, are clear indications she hates everything from the carrying of firearms to simply owning one in the home.

We have another legislative session coming up where reciprocity will be significantly under attack. We have to fight back, and while some of us are already getting ready for the fight it's not going to be fun. The lies from the anti-gun side that Florida has looser standards, that PA has a fair licensing system (particularly in Philly), that revocations and denials are easily appeal if done wrongly (no right to counsel, you pay for everything), and the others stated last time around will be repeated again.

Let's face it, in Philadelphia those who seek to carry a firearm lawfully are treated like criminals. It is the only county in the Commonwealth where license applicants are interrogated, not interviewed, interrogated and treated as guilty until proven innocent for any charge on their records that never resulted in a conviction. The city even proudly admits that it denies licenses to carry to individuals who have been arrested for a crime but do not have a single conviction on their record. It has even been admitted by former State Representatives and officials within the Philadelphia Police Department.

The Philadelphia Police Department has had multiple opportunities to retrain their officers, and the licensing unit has made multiple changes to their process over the years. Most of those changes occurred when the Philadelphia press embarrassed the Gun Permit Unit for abusing a citizen, or when the head of the gun permit unit had to admit that she didn't even realize that the information the city gave out with newly issued licenses did not adhere to the law.

The time for second chances is over, the city has had more than just two tries to get things right. It is time for a change, it is time to take every single decision on the issuance and revocation of licenses to carry firearms out of the hands of the corrupt and poorly trained officials in the City of Philadelphia. It is unacceptable for the chief of police to be in charge of issuing firearms licensing while he travels the country arguing for more gun control. It is unacceptable for his underlying officers to abuse the citizens of Philadelphia who seek to own and carry firearms lawfully while personally testifying before the General Assembly for new gun laws targeting the gun owners whose licenses they manage.

It is time for the City of Philadelphia to be held accountable for the long train of abuses it has committed on the legal and law abiding gun owners of this Commonwealth. I no longer argue just for changes to the system that lessen the power of the city but leave licensing decisions in its hands. No, I assert that the facts and the record reveals that what is necessary is a complete removal of city officials from all decisions affecting law-abiding gun owners. So while our new AG and the Philly crowd try to push through more restrictions I will push with all of my ability to remove them from the process entirely. They've earned such a dismissal from any oversight over our rights, they've committed enough abuses, and it is time to change the law to protect ourselves and particularly the residents of Philadelphia from the abuses they continue to commit.

She ran on a flat out anti gun stance here in Philly, how this can surprise anyone is beyond me.

And think about that: A Pa AG won a statewide election by running a blatantly anti-gun campaign. What a bunch of losers we are in this state...we cannot even defeat a blatantly anti-gun scum bag.

Hardly anyone else in the state knew about the anti-gun commercials. They only aired in Philly (maybe Pitt as well, but I don't know).

The problem was she had better name recognition at the polls. And, sadly, that's how some people vote. They remember what commercial they liked.

Her anti-gun ads were all over the internet and on you tube. I told this forum about her anti-gun commercials weeks before the election. Besides, if you actually READ about a candidate, their views are not hard to deduce, as if the big fucking "D" next to her name was not enough to begin with...

This is a state of fucking morons.

Preaching to the choir! I did my own rant on YouTube right before the election.

Hell, I even got my wife (who is registered "D") to not vote for her. Apparently the sheeple have spoken though. One of the problems is that the vast majority of voters don't actually research what a candidate stands for.

I'm certain that most of us on the PA gun forums didn't vote for her. Unfortunately we only represent a very small portion of the state.

Oh well, nothing we can do no but bend over and take it. Hopefully she uses some lube for our ass-fucking.

Every single person I showed the Bloomberg ad to voted against her, but the ad was only out a few weeks prior to election.

She won because of idiocy and the Sandusky case, even though there is no evidence that Corbett did anything wrong people are still just looking for anyone and everyone to blame. That helped swing her into office, in my opinion.

So, in effect I do agree with you, but as much as I wish they were her anti-gun stances were not widely enough known to sway the election as I saw it.

Not that I am arguing with you but I have to agree with IronSight. We watch both Scranton and Philly channels, as a matter of fact we watch Jeopardy / Wheel damn near every night on Philly TV (the channel with the cute blonde weather lady). We didn't see the anti gun BS from her until just a few weeks before the election, MAYBE 3 weeks.

We also warned everyone we could BUT seeing the ads she ran in places like Scranton / WB (which most of the Poconos, Hazleton and northern PA saw) there was no indication of her intent.

Had we not had the Philly channels (which most people up here do not have) we would have never known. Her campaign was as dishonest as they come. I can only hope she has some skeletons in her closet that gets her tit in a wringer and gets her ass thrown out of office (hey a man can dream you know)

I've told damn near everyone I know, screw the presidential election, her getting into office scares me 1000 times more than anything. She could literally fuck every legal gun owner in PA, and I'm not talking in the good way.

Someone please expalin how she shall be able to take an Oath to uphold the laws and constitution of the Commonwealth when she has already demonstrated that she does not support said Constitution? Isn't that the definition of perjury?

I find it very disturbing that she said she would back any municipality that was sued for a preemption violation.

What will Philly and every other libturd city do knowing the AGs Office has their back?
