PA SB664 Introduced - required training for LTCF
#1
Yup, you read that right ... SB664 requires some form of training to get your LTCF. I assume this would also include renewals because they state in the bill the applications must be the same across the state:

I would have to get training in order to get a permit from Arizona, because.. well, fuck PPD, but I'm still against this.

Devil's Advocate - Would having a training requirement then allow for more reciprocity?

You would think so, the reason most given by the last AG was no training when the question of why we didn't have more reciprocity. With our current AG going out of her way to limit things I doubt she'll expand our list with any new agreements.

As for the bill, I'm against it, however the list of accepted "training" is pretty lenient, one accepted form, the free PA Hunter safety course (or another states equivalent).

Actual text of the bill:

I don't need training for a constitutional right, that bill can go fuck itself.

Who cares?

Just like a fudd who doesn't care if AR15s and high cap mags are banned, support should not come from those who would benefit personally from reciprocity.

Our rights are not really rights as it is (a LTCF is essentially a privilege) - let's not make them even less so but supporting such things.

People who travel care, people who live near state lines care. I live within minutes of NJ & DE, be nice to not have to worry about some imaginary line that turns me into a felon. Just because fudds don't care about things you care about doesn't mean you should be the same kind of asshole.

That said, I am against any regulation to exercise a right granted by the constitution.

I feel that training is a necessity. if it is an actual course, or just range time. A person should be familiar with their firearm.

However, I don't think it should be a requirement.

I also feel there should be no reciprocity. My rights shouldn't end, or be restricted because I pass an invisible line.

But, I am one of those weirdos that feel all men are created equal.
This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins. -Ben Franklin
