Legal carrier didn't know NJ is communist and got arrested for volunteering her info at a traffic stop.

Stinks.

Does it suck? Yes, it does A LOT, but she should have looked more into carry laws when she got her LTCF. I don't know why they just can't pass constitutional carry. My PA driver's license is good in all 50 states, but I must obey different states' traffic laws. MY LTCF should be good in all 50 states. Now I agree mag capacity laws and certain places where you can't carry are bull shit, but I'd take baby steps in the right direction over nothing.

She probably thought it was similar to a drivers license. I feel bad for her. You know, in this area, and more so down in Philly, we don't even think twice about crossing the state line.....especially those who work in Jersey.

I hope she gets off this time.

I don't think SCOTUS will ever give us constitutional carry. They believe in state's rights including the regulation of concealed carry licensing.

From Heller:

"Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose: For example, concealed weapons prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment or state analogues."

I disagree with the above bolded, underlined, and in red (not to be confused with what you said, but what SCOTUS said). I'm pretty sure the Founding Fathers did major face palms in their graves.

I know it's bullshit that you can't carry to whatever state you want, but she should have known the laws. And since she didn't, she's now a criminal.

But if she were a marine that crossed into another country there would be public and political outrage.

The problem is Jersey will throw the book at her, despite the fact that she was legal elsewhere... but actual criminals using guns in Jersey will get less jail time, even for 2nd, 5th, and 37th offenses. Fuck Jersey.

That right there is the biggest problem of all.

Laws apply equally or they don't, and when someone is treated worse in order to make an example than the ones that are ACTUALLY committing the crime, it reeks of a partial and biased system designed to punish those who do not need it.
