Pakistan's gunmakers
#1
Damn, those look pretty good for something made in some little workshop on the dirt. I'd buy one for $50... I really hope that someone makes a video following their process from start to finish. Watching that guy operate that milling machine that quick by hand was something you don't see every day either. I also have to wonder exactly how deaf the guy the guy is who tests those all day every day with no ear pro.

I love that they think that if they ban guns, shops like this won't pop up in every major city.

I had seen a documentary on Pakistani gunsmiths. Even in the little shacks in remote areas they were still knocking out fairly high quality firearms on the cheap. A full auto AK had a rate of about $35 US. This was one of my arguments about Fast&Furious... the dumb shit in Washington thought that by flooding US purchased guns into Mexico... so he could curtail the Second Amendment here, and then also STOP the flow of guns into Mexico (maybe to be seen as some kind of hero). And nevermind the fact that the Narcos could buy boat loads of weapons from Pakistan for less than the price of one US purchased full auto AR or AK.
tolerance for failure meter... LOW

Tourist trap warning (literally): If you ever go there, don't buy a gun. Bail and fines are a larger revenue stream than the guns themselves. The gunmakers/sellers tip off the police a tourist just bought a gun. The police arrest the hapless tourist, who now must pay thousands to unfurl himself from Pakistan's legal clutches. Often the gun is handed back to the gun maker.

Thanks for the tip, I'm all about travelling risky places, but even I don't think I'll be finding myself in the tribal areas of Pakistan any time in the immediate future... although I would like to see the Karakorum mountains before I die...

I also imagine one of those guns would cost you more and be more of a pain in the ass to import (if it's even possible for a semi-auto) than just buying one here.

I watched a YouTube video not long ago showing how they make ammo. Some old guy sitting on a dirt floor seating bullets into cases with a hammer. It was pretty impressive.

That's all fine and good, but what can you tell us about DishTV and satellite technology?

This is a gun forum, does this relate to the discussion a week or two ago about why so many people are leaving?

Speaking of leaving, what happened to Hessa11? It looks like this was his last post.

(Bot?) or troll signed up to spam us with DishTV and satellite technology BS?

That was me just messing with a bot. Feed them key words and see if they respond in kind.
