"Panic Bought" a G20
#1
I decided to take the plunge and purchase a G20 the night after the Sandy Hook tragedy. I'd been on the fence for a while, and decided to go ahead that evening. Funny thing is, at the time, I didn't even realize that a G20 was supposedly one of the firearms used. I think the 10mm is an awesome round with a fascinating history. I intend to use the G20 as my camping/atv gun where I could have to deal with 4 legged predators as well as 2 legged. I must say, it's one big Glock. Can't wait to take it to the range. I already have some 200grain 10mm waiting to make the trip. I plan on dressing it up a little bit too...too many cool mods out there...Big Grin

Welcome to the 10mm club! I have a Delta Elite myself but I am on the look out for a G20C someday. How much did the G20 set you back if you don't mind me asking?

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Thanks! I probably spent around $575 shipped and transferred for the G20 + 2 15 round mags. I splurged and bought 2 more 15 round mags. I'd love to have a 10mm long slide at some point, but that's many dollars away...

Not bad at all! I just missed a barely used G20C being sold by a friend for $450...I just didn't have the cash at the moment and he needed to sell so I had to pass! Shrug But they do turn up from time to time as a lot of shooters don't like paying to feed the 10mm! I really want a compensated model!

Sounds like there are deals to be had. Some of my friends couldn't understand why I wanted a 10mm as they don't often see the ammo on store shelves. Fortunately there is no trouble finding it online at reasonable prices. I plan to stock it fairly deep since I won't find it in many stores.

Welcome to the club. welcome

I love shooting mine, not so much feeding it though.

I put in a lone wolf barrel and SS guide rod and it has been perfect.

If you don't reload, buy from http://www.underwoodammo.com/10mmauto.aspx When he has it in stock, it is some of the best 10mm out there.
He is in WV and only takes a day or two to get it.

Finally had the chance to shoot the G20 today. I put some CCI blazers (200 grain) through it. Quite impressive round to say the least. Despite the bulk and wait of the G20, there was still noticeable recoil. The 10mm is no joke! I have some 220 grain hardcast ammo on the way for when I'm out in the woods. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!
