Para USA GI Expert for sale
#1
This is a modified Para USA GI expert, obviously in .45 ACP. Its a 5 inch slide with the series 80 safety still in place. Please note the difference between the older model GI Expert, and the new Expert. This gun started off in a very GI state. You can locate images of the original online. This one has been modified with the following items.

Wilson Combat grip safety
Ed Brown snakeskin mainspring housing
Nighthawk Custom full length guide rod
EGW sear
VZ Operator 2 grips
Wilson Combat speed chute
frame painted EOtech dark earth colored Duracoat paint
Colt extended thumb safety
Wolff springs (recoil and firing spring)
Clark Custom 4 prong sear spring
new grip screws, not sure which brand, but they are just flat head screws.
mainspring pin (its aftermarket, so its listed) from Brownells

I have roughly 1500 rounds through this gun, and to date, I have had 7 failures. (yes I track them) 5 of the 7 came from using super cheap gun show magazines. They were the fake Colt .45 magazines that were $7 or $8 a pop. Yeah, pure junk. I ended up giving those to a friend. In their place, I took the original two magazines and put Wilson Combat springs and followers in them, and the third magazine I have is a 47D Wilson Combat. Right now, I honestly don't remember what the other 2 failures were, but either way, the percentage of failures is pretty low. Its been a great gun, but I have a PPQ, and this never gets shot. I've always lubed it with CorrosionX, and keep a sliver of Talon Grip material on the front strap. I've never messed with the trigger on this gun, as I used it as a carry piece and did not want something too light. Even though I've changed out a bunch of parts on this gun, it functions perfectly fine and passes all safety checks.

I'll even toss in a Galco Kingtuk IWB holster, Blackhawk! Serpa holster, and as many original parts as I can find. I know for sure that I still have the GI guide rod and sear.

Price is $550. I'm in Shippensburg, PA. Not willing to ship, but might drive about an hour for a sale.

Can be reached at 717 four-zero-four 7741.

Yeah, when I first got the gun, I had an idea in mind, and the FLGR was part of that. I honestly can't tell if it helps or not, but it does look pretty sweet. Nighthawk makes good stuff, and the unit screams quality. I have the GI guide rod still laying around and I'll throw it in, along with everything else I have that fits in with the 1911 life style.
