Pennsylvania County Makes New Federal Gun Laws “Unenforceable”…
#1
Quote:Worried about the federal government imposing overly-restrictive new gun laws? One Pennsylvania county is saying, “Not in our backyard!”

Susquehanna County commissioners have passed a resolution to fully protect the Second Amendment from any federal laws infringing upon it, as reported by The Times-Tribune.

The resolution states that that “any federal act, bill, law, rule or executive order that in any way infringes on our Second Amendment rights by attempting to reduce the private ownership of any firearm, magazine or ammunition shall be unenforceable in Susquehanna County.”

This is great to hear, now all we need to do is try and get other counties to follow in their footsteps. What would be the best thing would be if this would turn into a state level law.

So how does that work, exactly?

How does a little fish get the authority to say that the big fish's law can not be enforced?

Is this along the lines of how drugs can be legalized, even though they are still illegal federally?

The little fish can stop the big fish, if they get a whole shit-ton of their little fish friends to stand (or-uh, swim) together with them.

It won't work, of course. The .gov has the ultimate big stick to make them do whatever they want. MONEY! Remember when they set a the speed limit at 55 and a bunch of States said that's a local issue? The .gov said, Hey you are right but if you don't you will never see a penny of highway money again. Bam! Speed limits were changed.

Speed limits aren't inalienable rights.

Great point! I'm sure once this fact is mentioned the Feds will just nod and go back to DC.
