Phila Woman Charged for Straw Purchasing in Bucks County
#1
Looks like the DA used the mandatory 5 year straw purchasing sentence to get her to confess and is gonna plead it down.

Three times in one day earlier this year, a Philadelphia woman is accused of trying to purchase a handgun — for someone else.

The purchases were never made by Margaret Litton, 27, of the 3000 block of Morning Glory Drive, because she was flagged during required state criminal background checks, according to Bucks County detectives.

But she tried hard to complete a sale, said the detectives, who investigated the case with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Gun Violence Task Force and New Jersey State Police.

The first attempt was Jan. 25, when Litton and three men entered a gun shop in the 200 block of Levittown Parkway in Tullytown, detectives said. She told the clerk she was interested in buying a handgun, but was told he couldn’t sell her one if it appeared that she was buying it for someone else, a transaction known as a straw purchase, they said.

Remember though, the issue is the firearms themselves and not the poor woman who was only trying to make some money buying a firearm for someone she didn't know. Dodgy
