Has been over the lawful 45 days for my wife and I to be notified of our permit status. Does anyone have any experience in Philly? I called and the recording said after 45 days you can come in with your ID to get info. Any idea what I can expect next week when I take the trip down without the acceptance letter?

I still do not know why it takes so long for the PGPU... 15 minutes for Bucks County, that's it. no interviews, nothing. Drop off application, $20 and wait. Then picture, license and out the door.

Update. Went to the Philadelphia police gun unit today to check on our applications. Today was almost 60 days since submitting our applications. They took our drivers license info and then went to check on out our applications. They hadn't even run the background checks yet!
Regardless after about 30 minutes they called us back for our photos and gave us our LTCF. All in all pretty painless, they didn't give any grief at all about lacking the approval letter. I do however get the feeling that had we not shown up they would have never gotten around to processing our applications.
