Quote:What we need—and by “we,” I mean all the people tired of being shot at—is a gun-control Super PAC that will make the following offer to any congressman currently accepting campaign contributions from the NRA: If you will promise to change your position from “pro gun” to “gun neutral” and consider gun control legislation on its merits instead of mindlessly obstructing any efforts to prevent the next Sandy Hook, we will replace any and all campaign funding the NRA withdraws as a result. Additionally, we will match the NRA dollar for dollar if they bankroll a pro-gun opponent to run against you.

Might as well read it. Welcome to OccupyNRA.

That's what's going on in this country these days, there is no rule of law, in the sense that the government has no boundaries. It follows the opinions and polls that the politicians want to follow..

They "the politicians" are making it up as they go, there is no adherence to the road map "constitution"

Just wingin it!

We BEES in trouble

Unite behind the nra and follow them off the cliff. Bullshit. Write the nra and tell them no compromise. We made one with the machine gun ban, licence carry and background checks. We were told that was going to be the end. Enough with the compromise. Its all a scam to erode us to death. No more. Dont just write the law makers write the nra.

Anti gun Super PAC? You mean George Soros? Anti gun groups were on the verge of bankruptcy recently. Yes they'll be getting donations from some people but it won't be enough to start a political fund large enough to compete with the NRA. Public opinion has been swinging away from gun control for years. Yes we've had a tug back in the wrong direction but overall I see things snapping back to nearly where they were a week ago in the coming months. Terrible things happening to children gets a lot of attention but the general publics attention span is limited. Nothing happened after Columbine and that was a massive shock to the system. We've become less effected overall since then. This most recent shock is similar in magnitude to the pre event system that Columbine was.

I know I'm going to take shit from all of this but remember, we don't have to force anything. All we have to do is hold our ground. A well entrenched defense has a better chance of victory than a sloppy offense trying to force us back. So stop with the fatalist attitudes. Put your big boy pants on and quit whining. As Sam Elliott said in We Were Soldiers, "Gentlemen, prepare to defend yourselves"

What bothers me about the coverage this is getting is it's very similar to the event that spawned the UK's total ban. Plus it's been said on gun forums several times over the years that it would probably take someone shooting up a bunch of school kids to get enough support for a total ban.

It's almost like they got the idea from us. (I kid)

Yeah, I thought Dunblane on Friday.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

On the federal level at least Friday's conference from the NRA will make or break the response to this event, in my opinion.

I may get to experience the media response to it firsthand, as I've been invited to an on-air panel discussion, timing TBD, for Friday. I will release details on the board as soon as I can about that, so that way the board members who catch it can crucify me if I screw us over on live TV Ninja
