I don't know...his avatar makes me highly suspicious.

He's not nearly as hairy has his avatar.

maybe you should look in the mirror and at the people you work with.

I think you're a bit out of line here. Steelcityk9 is a decent person, and a good cop.

I've never met him personally, but he seems like a good guy to me. He's the first to admit when police officers screwed up, but he'll also give the perspective of a LEO when something questionable arises.

He and I butted heads a few times at PAFOA, but after talking about things, I think we both could see each other's perspectives. If he wasn't a decent person, I wouldn't have had him in my home for dinner.

Mmmmmmmm......cheesecake.

As I age I get more hairy... like my avatar... hence having to ask my barber to thin my eyebrows last trip. Thanks for the compliments by the way Streak! If you wern't so dang nice I never would have come to visit!

I will always call a spade a spade... I don't like dirty cops and don't want to work with them. But often times there is a perspective to some of this stuff that everyone doesn't know about because they are not exposed to it..... same with any job be it truck driving, internet technologies, marketing, baggage remodeling at the airport...whatever. So often my goal is to point out that grey area and educate so that everyone can make a more informed opinion...or in this case...to correct a mistake made my the "news source".

The guy who planted the drugs isn't an officer or an agent as the article suggested... he's a criminal informant. Using them in drug work is nothing new, we do it all the time. They get picked up as the little fish and promise they can get us a bigger fish.

Bigger fish don't like to deal with people they don't know so we often have to use the little fish to buy from the big fish. We know the little fish is not trust worthy....so how do we know he will truly set up the bigger GUILTY fish and not some innocent little crustacean like the head shop owner? We strip the little fish but naked and check every inch of him, and I mean EVERY inch. Why? Cause somewhere along the line, fishes learned to bring their own drugs along to set up people to make their charges go away.

So when the little fish is all good to go....and his cloths are all good to go....and the car we go in is good to go....the deal gets done....and when we go back the whole process is repeated....cause sometimes fishes drop the drugs by accident and the wind currents are just right that the drugs end up floating into their bum bums.

Again...in this story... they forgot to check the fishy... and I'm sure someone got in big big trouble for it.

Oh those cops in this article, the ones wearing the uniforms with "police" on them, they must be informants too. Only a few cops not everyone of them... Nothing to see here...

Store cameras don't work when the police destroy them.
Quote:There's a great story on the front page of the Daily News today, and -- although that's not the purpose -- drives home an excellent point about the future of journalism in Philadelphia. On the front page, Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey is making an explosive charge, that an investigative piece in the DN by Pulitzer Prize-winning reporters Barbara Laker and Wendy Ruderman "(bleep)ed up" a department probe of an allegedly crooked cop who's still on the job. But if you read the story, you can see that Ramsey is actually the one who's full of it. The reality is that the corruption would not have been investigated at all, and might have festered for years and years, if there was no newspaper and if we depended solely on the enthusiasm of Philly cops to investigate their own.

(In that instance, the cops were too stupid to destroy all copies of the surveillance record... so the cam was disabled but not the tape)

Nah this episode as you well know steelcity led to an Phila. Police Dept. assisted FBI probe into the PPD. Since then almost a dozen cops have been ejected on narco crap or reassigned to shit work like fixing copy machines.

Lets not forget the police captain of the 24th sitting in pound me in the ass pen for extortion right now. Capt Vogt took over and had to clean his shit up.
