Poll: Wolf Surges to Lead in Democratic Gov Race

Quote:Poll: Wolf surges to lead in Democratic gov race

It turns out that spending millions on broacast TV ads while you have the airwaves all to yourself moves numbers.

Tom Wolf, the York businessman and former state revenue secretary, jumped from last to first – by a mile – in the latest survey of the Democratic primary for governor by Harper Polling, released Tuesday.

He led five rivals with 40 percent support among respondents who said they were likely to vote in the May 20 Democratic primary; in a Harper Poll last November, Wolf was in last place with a mere 5 percent of the vote.

U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz of Montgomery County, long labeled the frontrunner in the race to take on Gov. Corbett, was second with 14 percent support. State Treasurer Rob McCord had the backing of 8 percent of Democrats surveyed.

McCord has run and been elected twice statewide, and Schwartz has a base in the southeast. Neither has yet advertised in the governor's race, however.

Former Auditor General Jack Wagner, whose decision last week to run has shaken up the campaign, and former DEP chief John Hanger each had 7 percent. Katie McGinty of Wayne, also formerly the state’s top environmental official, had the support of 6 percent in the poll.

Nineteen percent of likely voters said they were undecided.

In typical liberal Democrat fashion, he has bootstrapped his signature platform item to " saving the children". Along with, " equality", and "saving the environment", that is how they frame ALL issues . In this case, he's going to tax the mean old energy companies for better education for our children. Once in office, he'll then set "common sense" gun laws, as they ALL will.

Well all of his commercials spoon feed the liberal dream to the viewers.

"Peace Corps" (need I say more?)

"Shares the wealth" with employees.

I'm gonna tax the FUCK out of those natural gas motherfrackers!

"Look - I'm surrounded by school kids! - Corbett HAAATES education!"

This election is gonna make me barf.

They're all starting to make me feel that way.

All I want is someone with a spine to vote for...is that really too much to ask?

Not a damn thing wrong with serving in the peace corps. Especially compared to sitting in moms basement playing xbox or updating ones blog.

Same with sharing his profits with his employees. His money, his choice. Which actually is not much different that conservatives offering stock options and profit sharing.

It's way early in the season to take any of these polls seriously. All he is doing at this point it buying himself some name awareness.

The .gov has his website up and is accepting contributions and volunteers. Instead of giving up maybe time to join the fight.

Oh well, that settles it. ALL of the Republicans are jacked up, so I guess I'll just HAVE to vote for Hillary. :-(

1. Nothing wrong with serving in the peace corps.

2. People can take care of their employees and still make a good profit.

I'll wait until I know more about him before making a conclusion.
A gun rack in a pick-up is not for holding guns. Its a place for women to hold on to. Smile

Oh, absolutely.

The thing is, these factoids added up with the rest equate to liberal, anti-gun, democrat douchebag, and liberal, anti-gun, democrat douchebags wet their panties at the soundbites of "Peace Corps", and "fair share", and "punishing evil frackers to save the children."

Those things should be "bonuses" and not the sole reason to believe he's the best man for the job.
If only more people would take the time to learn more before making a decision, we wouldn't have to worry about it.
