Met a nice guy a few minutes ago who said I'm the second person he has seen OC lately. Talked a bit about carry and guns. Turns out he is a prnj transplant and loves Pennsylvania.
Directed him here. Hopefully makes it on here and starts OC too.

Ah, the fond memories of walking to that Burger King with Freedom High School cheerleaders after school. I remember one even showed us her boobs in the parking lot.

Just stumbled upon a thread at Defensive Carry with a really simple, effective mod for a WASR-10.

This is NOT an "automatic" bolt hold open! In other words, it will not lock your bolt back after the final shot. The purpose of this mod is for situations such as a range or gun club that requires you to lock your action open during a cease fire. No more will you have to stuff a shotgun shell or a flag into the action to hold it open.

All you do is cut or grind a small notch out of the top edge of your safety lever, allowing you to pull back your bolt carrier and engage the safety, trapping the charging handle in the notch. It is hard to describe, but here is a link to the thread, it has very good pictures of the modification in post #1:

Ah, fun childhood memories.

Every time I go back to Vermont to visit, I take a detour to drive through the town where I grew up and look at my old stomping grounds. It's nice to drive through and see what's the same and what's changed. It's nice to relive old memories like that.

Actually that BK in Bethlehem Township. Their PD is very good with OC'ers and has, I believe, received an at a boy on another site with a positive encounter at the Home Depot.
