Printing
#1
Ok so starting another thread for this to stop hijacking others. Why do I print so much? Maybe because girls print more? I have my little bitty gun and it looks positioned well until I pull my sweater over top and then it's like this big obvious block. Posting pix, excuse the extra weight, I'm 40 and have four kids. Confused

(((Deleted now....doesn't need to be archived for posterity. Ha.)))

So does this mean I have to layer every time I go out? Or is this more obvious to me than to others?

I think you're worried about nothing, no one is going to notice that.

Oh ok... It seems so obvious to me.... I guess that's normal. Thanks!

You also have to take into account the lack of attention that your average denizen of the world is to what's going on around them. Most of them don't even notice when they're blocking the entire damn aisle of store.

Agreed. I absolutely believe a large part of unmolested OC is that people don't even notice, rather than that they notice, and don't care. You're more conscious of it because you are implicitly aware it is there, and probably also because you are more aware of your surroundings in general.

*I understand CC is your preferred choice. Not knocking that.

It is printing but not that bad when you consider how inattentive most people are.

I think most of the problem is the type of holster you are using. The portion sticking out of the waist band is pretty thick.

It doesn't help that most women's clothing is form fitting.

The only fix I see is to get a belt designed for carry and a holster similar to what Crossbreed, Alien Gear, or Old Faithful sell. They spread the bump out over a wider area so it is less noticeable. The belt isn't necessary but it does help distribute the load so there is less sag in the area the pistol is at.

Again, what you have now works but if you want it to be less noticeable, you would need to look at one of the holsters I mentioned.

The clothing is probably one of the issues, but your clothing isn't really that tight compared to what we usually see in the general public. You might consider looser pants, but that's a personal preference.

I tend to wear baggier clothes because I like the comfort they give. It's easier to conceal with looser fitting pants.

I carry a flip phone in a belt holder, and it probably prints worse than your gun.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

Wow, a flip phone in a belt holder? That's almost "see something, say something" right there! Lol j/k

I spent the morning running around to various stores with my OWB leather holster with my G19 and an extra mag in my back pocket. Had a T-shirt and a hoodie and I doubt anyone even gave a thought to my printing. Unless it's real obvious, 99.99999999% of the people aren't going to notice, they're too busy posting fazebook updates and blocking the damn aisles.
