Private schools gun carry?

I guess someone needs to say it, but concealed means concealed.

Obviously it could be highly illegal, but so is mass murder, and that does not seem to deter the maniacs that do the sort of shit we saw in Connecticut.

At the very least, buy some really good pepper spray and keep it on your person at all times. Aiming and operating a firearm is greatly complicated by getting a big blast of pepper spray to the face. Might want to keep one of those little pocket impact baton/striker type things on you too. They're quite small, but massively amplify striking power.

If you hid by the door frame in your class, and someone kicked the door in after shooting up the class next door, you MIGHT have a chance to defeat him by unloading with the pepper spray and unleashing a violent assault of strikes with the impact device.

You'd probably get shot and killed, but at least you'd die on your feet, and could very well stop further killing. And if you're really lucky...you might even prevail.

Maybe you could keep like a big claw hammer locked in a desk drawer..,..you know, "for hanging pictures in your class"... Combined with the spray and an ambush attack....who knows. Way better than cowering behind a desk waiting to be executed.

I was reading some of the details and it seems that the principal and one other woman charged at the gunman as he came in. He just mowed them down. Had one of them been armed, this story would have turned out very differently. Maybe one or two of the adults would have still been killed, but maybe he would have been killed before he got to the children.

I simply do not understand how people don't see it.

Yeah sure if I illegally carried (and in a Smart Carry nobody would ever find out) and something happened, I'd be in jail the rest of my life....the pepper spray is a good idea though. I may need to do that one.

For the record, "weapons" are prohibited (or allowed for 'lawful purpose') on school grounds, NOT "firearms". Strictly from a legal standpoint, possession of pepper spray could end in the same result as possession of a firearm.

Yeah? Oh okay thanks for pointing that out. Blush Guess I'll just hope nobody thinks to shoot up a small private school. Ha.

Pay attention! Having a firearm (weapon) does not guarantee your safety, or the safety of others.
I'm only here for the 'Foxes with Firearms' thread.

If they take our guns, who will protect our children?

I asked a similar question a few years ago (on another site). My kids attend a private school, that at the time, was in a church. Being a licensed K-12 facility, the prevailing belief was that it was not legal to carry on property.

The only sticking point was when was it school property and when was it simply a church...

Soberbyker's post sure does stir some thoughts, though...

Paradigm

You misunderstood. This part was aimed at you, to think about the statement that followed.
