#1
And it starts up.

PRO NRA, PRO GUN dem now wants sensible change...

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/12/1...PR20121217

Quote:A pro-gun U.S. lawmaker on Monday called on Congress and the gun industry to come together on a "sensible, reasonable approach" to curbing high-powered, assault weapons like those used in the Connecticut school shooting last week.

Sen. Joe Manchin, a West Virginia Democrat who has earned top marks from the gun industry, said all ideas should be open for discussion after the violence on Friday that killed 20 children aged 6 and 7.

Manchin, a hunter and member of the National Rifle Association, said the availability of such high-powered weapons does not make sense and called on the gun lobby group to cooperate with a reform of the nation's gun laws.......

AND ANOTHER ONE who was once pro 2A

Quote:Scarborough, once top-rated by NRA, calls for a fresh look at gun laws

While noting the NRA's approval of him during his terms in Congress and saying he long saw the debate over guns "as a powerful symbolic struggle between individual rights and government control," Scarborough said that has been shattered.

"The symbols of that ideological struggle, they’ve been shattered by the harvest sewn from violent mind-numbing video games and gruesome Hollywood movies that dangerously desensitize those that struggle from mental health challenges," he said. "And then add in military-styled weapons and high-capacity magazines to that equation, and tragedy can never be too far behind."

....."I choose life, and I choose change," Scarborough told viewers.

Scarborough hasn't been a conservative in years. I can call myself the Easter Bunny but if I don't have long ears, a fluffy tail and shit out brightly colored eggs, I'm not the Easter Bunny.
He was the sort of person who stood on mountaintops during thunderstorms in wet copper armour shouting "All the Gods are bastards."

But you do see how it IS BEING portrayed? This is what will be seen by all.

Wait and see, more "NRA FRIENDS and "PRO GUN" folks will be popping up very very soon.

This shit is going to get pretty deep..
Heres a blurb from the coroner on the scene: The rifle used in the murders has little application for hunting. I dont know too many people that hunt with these weapons because the bullets are so fast, they break up and spray their target with leadRolleyes Daily times page 5 (today).

The headline is a lie. He is neither pro gun or pro NRA, as i have said, there is no such thing as a pro gun democratic politician.

This very much like the "I'm a hunter/gun owner and I think this gun violence is crazy and we need to do something" comments people post on news articles comments facebook, etc.

With the exception being this plays at a national politics level really well and will make it much harder for real 2A legislators to not cave on something.

I personally agree with the tactic in play with 2A supporters, keep quiet for now. You stand no chance of going on a news/entertainment/talk show and having the ability to present a rational perspective when emotions are so high. Not only will you be debating the 'other expert' but also the host.

Let anger/emotions run its course and have a serious debate, if possible, what any new law will really accomplish. At the end of the day, I truly believe there will be some limiting legislation passed.

This is where I see the problem, there is no such thing as limiting. We limited to many times, then when the next shooting happens we limit again. Before you all know it we will be using fucking slingshots against tyrants with M4's.
