CREDO, a progressive grassroots group, is organizing a march on the National Rifle Association's lobbying arm in Washington, D.C. Monday.

"After the shooter Adam Lanza, no one is more to blame for the massacre of 20 first graders and six women at the Sandy Hook Elementary School than the National Rifle Association," CREDO wrote on the Facebook page where the march is being organized. "To stop the senseless killing we must first stop the NRA."

I can hear the money flooding into the NRA's coffers faster than welfare check day at Wal-Mart.

I've considered joining this weekend, then I realized that without seeing how they'll respond there's no way I'm doing it until their path forward is clear.

The last thing I need to do is send them a check and then watch them spend it compromising on an AWB in the wake of recent events.

The NRA has several million members. All of the gun control groups membership numbers are in the thousands. Hell most anti gun groups are on the verge of bankruptcy anyway. A lot are running on skeleton crews of volunteers because they don't have the money to have a paid staff.

Val, you had to open up that can of worms, didn't you? (No offense to IronSight, but I remember a lot of your anti-NRA rants from previous posts, thus the comment to Val) Big Grin

Unarmed, yet hostile, protesters are going to march on a gun rights organization? I can't help but think they drank the same koolaid as those jackasses in Germany who wanted to drop shit on the HK factory from a helicopter. They must not see the idiocy of attacking a building that, by definition, is packed full of guns and ammo. Darwin should be having a field day with this magnificant display of natural selection.

I'm going to assume that the NRA Headquarters, located in Fairfax, VIRGINIA, is more heavily guarded and protected than the Libyan embassy.

I expect they're seeing quite the influx in cash right now.
