PSA Freedom AR15 Upper
#1
Well guys, I ordered a new Freedom M4 style upper from Palmetto! I was looking for something decent but it had to be inexpensive! This fit the bill...

http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php...andle.html

It is CMV with lead polished bore (no chrome) but I doubt I will ever shoot enough 5.56 to kill a barrel! If I can afford that much ammo, I will replace the barrel when it shoot out! LOL!

I locked it in last night for $239 + $15 shipping! Now I need to find a BCG and a Charging Handle...but I'm in no hurry. I'm just glad to finally get an upper assembly secured for my extra lower build! Everyone knows we are just one mass shooting away from another dry spell or worse!

So what do you guys think? I'm well aware of "you get what you pay for" but I really don't think this is a risky deal! PSA has been good to me so far...I'm excited to see how this new Freedom Upper looks and operates!

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

HMM saw those the other day the price is definitely right. I was looking at their CHF model though figured the extra 50 bucks or so was worth it. Then they ran out of stock before I quit himhawing around. Ill see if it comes back into stock before I am ready to orderm but other wise I am going to give this upper a serious look.

Never had any issue with a PSA product. Might buy up a few as investments.

I thought they already had a budget line of AR parts?

EDIT:

The PTAC is what I'm thinking of. They are usually low priced and I keep hearing people say that they aren't as good as the "regular" PSA stuff.

I dunno.

Yes, PTAC is their line of entry level parts and uppers that are made by unknown vendors. The new FREEDOM line is made by PSA's regular vendors like Wilson Barrels and such. I'm guessing the finish may not be polished as nicely as a PSA premium piece and some of the bells and whistles are left out like chrome lined barrel, but the warranty is the same as their top shelf stuff! I've stayed away from PTAC so far but I may try on of the PTAC M16 BCG's in this gun. Hell, they just had a PTAC upper on sale for $199!

I like how the Freedom Line is roll marked FREEDOM on the barrel...it's so you can freely dispense freedom in convenient, easy to handle 30 packs!
