Pa. troopers' Asian sex trips surface in lawsuit

http://lancasteronline.com/article/local...wsuit.html

Quote:HARRISBURG — Three state police lieutenants — including the former head of the elite detail that guards the Pennsylvania governor — were investigated by the FBI and the state police for their involvement with prostitutes during successive personal vacations to Southeast Asia.

Records in a case pending in federal court in Pennsylvania say the lieutenants all admitted hiring the prostitutes on trips between 2002 and 2008.

An Associated Press review of the internal state police records shows the supervisors evaded significant punishment, and a Right-to-Know Law request found no evidence that they were discharged or demoted, the state police said last week.

What I find more troublesome about this than the troopers that were getting their dicks wet and paying for it, is that it apparently only came out because of spite from another trooper that feels he was wronged by the brass.

I bet if the PSP and Secret Service got together, they could probably throw one hell of a party! Tongue

Firstly, the US doesn't really have territorial jurisdiction to do anything about these guys violating Thai law, if they did;
next, I don't really see what they did that offends their office;
I would rather have sex buyers whom follow the constitutions than uptight goody-goodies who break their oaths.

We're really looking in the wrong place.

Quote:"The age of the prostitutes they were with was not a concern to Lt. Martin (because, according to him, they all looked old enough)," state police disciplinary officer Capt. Francis Hacken wrote.

Looked old enough?
They better read this:

If they are engaging in activity that could possibly lead to them being blackmailed, then I have a concern. Some of the guys were on the Governor's protective detail, which would mean that they could have easily have been blackmailed and possibly put him in danger. I guess I just expect more of our police officers, especially the commanders.

Hmmm... I wonder if the trips were paid for by Comcast.

Just another bunch of above the law boys. I have one that lives near me and he spends more time at home when he is on duty than on patrol. Zero respect for these people.

Been there, done that on The National Mall. Big Grin

Conduct unbecoming is a fireable offense. It would certainly apply regardless of criminal violation.
