Pulled the Trigger on an XDm 5.25
#1
So I just placed my order for a 5.25 .45acp. I have been wrestling with this decision for a long time and finally just decided to do it. I had some money saved and I got tired of waffling.

I got the all black. While I know the bi-tone looks better, this is an IDPA competition gun... I don't need to look good while shooting. (that's a statistical impossibility anyway)

Along with the gun, I have placed orders for the following:
From Powder River:
PRP Drop-in Trigger
X-treme grips in red sand
stainless steel guide rod
From PistolGear.com
Patriot Magwell in Silver
.25 Slam Pads
I have been waiting for this...

Needs to be ready, broken in a dial-in before the season starts in March

Dont forget a nice holster for it

Planning on shooting this in CDP and ESP?

While I can shoot my M&P in ESP if I choose to, im working on getting the "cheater" gun in the ESP division -- a double stack 9mm 1911 Wink

That's the plan. Right now I'll stick the one it comes with. When I get the money for more upgrades a red comptac might be on the list to match the red grips.

Are you going to put it through its paces at the IDPA event at Guthsville on Sunday?

Has Guthsville raised their prices (NEPAIDPA Lists it as $15)? I was going to run down to New Holland on Sunday to shoot but I might give Guthsville a try?

Not that I am aware of. Oddly the match is listed on NEPAIDPA but not on the Guths site. Waiting to see if its cancelled

I don't think I'm going to be competing until March. For those that are interested I just got a CompTac holster for my 5.25.

And as for competing in March, there is a good chance my first competition will be the Florida State Championships. Still working out the details though.
