Rainier Arms? [Update: Post #4]
I placed an order for a CAV-15MKII lower with Rainier Arms on January 29th. Since then I've only received an order confirmation and request for FFL info. My card has not even been charged, despite the fact that the lower was shown as "in stock" on the website. I called over a dozen times, and I just get the same message, "due to increased volume we are unable to take your call. Please email and we will respond as soon as possible." I've sent numerous emails and they all automatically respond with:

Quote:Thank you for contacting Rainier Arms for your AR15 needs. Due to an overwhelming response to the latest political climate, we are experiencing longer than normal response times.

The best way to buy product is online. Our website inventory is live so if you can add the items to the cart, it's in stock. If not, use the notify me feature or add the item to your wish list. When the products come in, we will notify you by email. We don't have ETAs on out of stock items and are not taking back orders. After you place your order, current processing times has been about 5-7 days for accessories, 10-14 days for firearms.

So it's been 16 days and I haven't gotten a hold of a single person there.

Should I just be more patient, is this the new "norm" for online gun shops? Or should I be pissed?
For the moment, I hope, this is the new 'normal'. At least your credit card hasn't been charged.

Hope what you ordered arrives soon Wink

I've been dealing a lot with Rainier. Everything that requires an FFL takes time to get shipped right now.

Yesterday I just got an upper and lower that I ordered on Jan 30th.
He was the sort of person who stood on mountaintops during thunderstorms in wet copper armour shouting "All the Gods are bastards."
LOL, they must have seen this thread or something because I just got 3 emails in a row from 2 different people at Rainier Arms, apologizing for the wait, AND confirming that my package is shipping today along with providing a tracking number.

And now for the quest to build a 4.5 pound AR. Cool
That's good to hear. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I will continue to deal with them in the future.
