I don't see a change,

Category 3: Unilateral reciprocity granted by another state for Pennsylvania license holders.

This category encompasses states which allow an individual issued a valid concealed firearm license from Pennsylvania to carry a firearm while in those respective states.

Idaho will recognize a PA LTCF but PA does not recognize the Idaho CCW.

This change happened last year, 2013.

These reciprocity changes seem to be happening a lot, and thee are a lot of changes as to whats acceptable state to state, its hard to keep up unless you're diligent about it.

I see that Idaho takes PA without question, there must be something about how there is no background check or something in the state requirements that our AG doesn't like...so Kane doesn't feel that's acceptable and dropped them.

To get an a Idaho LTCF you have to offer proof of a gun safety course. You don't have to do that here.....although if they don't do background checks I guess there's that.

Low crime out there.

Idaho honors ALL other state licenses, resident and non resident.

My guess as to the reason PA doesn't accept Idaho is this:

Quote:(11) The sheriff of a county may issue a license to carry a concealed weapon to those individuals between the ages of eighteen (18) and twenty-one (21) years who in the judgment of the sheriff warrant the issuance of the license to carry a concealed weapon. Such issuance shall be subject to limitations which the issuing authority deems appropriate.

I like saying "reciprocity". It's a funny word - like "poop", but with more syllables.
