Remington® Gun Club™ Target Loads
#1
Everywhere I look these loads are out of stock.

I do reload (using gun club hulls) and have plenty but I like to keep a few cases of factory loads too. Anyone else running into a problem finding these loads?

12 gauge #8 shot.

I use to buy 100 shells of that from Dick's Sporting Goods (Sorry, EmptyMag). They use to have a ton of it in stock. I believe I have seen it in Walmart too. Did you try those two places?

I normally buy 2 cases (250 rounds each) and online. Neither of those two do online ammo sales.

I've been to Wally World and can't recall ever seeing the "Gun Club" rounds, normally the only bulk they have is Winchester white box or Federal and I don't like them for reloading.

Dick's isn't nearby or a place I'd go.

So far I've only checked for online sales, need a decent price to offset the shipping cost and I'm not in dire straights for it.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

Thanks, I did see that site already, they have 19 boxes in stock but want $46.13 for shipping.

I have 2 cases on back order from Bass Pro and free shipping for $20 less which I could cancel anytime up to them getting the stock in and processing the order if I found a better deal, which I haven't.

I have a 5 gallon bucket half full of reloads, I can wait, just can't understand why most places don't have any. I've been looking for a couple months.

Those Gun Clubs seem to have dried up nationally in the past year. Walmart always had the 100-pack on the shelves, when suddenly they were no more, replaced with Winchester (sometimes) and Federal Top Gun (most of the time).
I always looked forward to a charity clay shoot at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, where I picked up jillions of empty Gun Clubs. which were provided by the range for the meet. Not so anymore. Lehigh started handing out Federals last year, and my stock of Remingtons dwindled. I've been loading the Federals, but only one time before shucking them, firing them in my semi-auto Beretta.
Just for the halibut, I stopped at my LGS and asked if he had any Remington target loads, and the clerk said they are costing too much. He said that about Remington STS 209 primers a while back, too.

I get a lot from my range as well, but as, you have seen. there aren't as many people using them. I had been looking off and on for the past 6 months and all of my online places were "out of stock".

I have plenty of used shells that I've accumulated from the club, I just like to get some fresh ones once in a while so I was in no hurry to get them.

My curiosity of why they have been so hard to find is why I started this thread, wondering if anyone knew why the supply dried up.

I just received my back order from Bass Pro last week. I am no where near a Dunham's, closest is 67 miles from me, the gas and tolls would negate a good price and I didn't see a way to order online. Cabelas, as of this morning, lists all Gun Club shells as "backorderable" so no, they don't have any in stock. Believe me, I checked every place I know of the sells online and they all had them as back order.

Thanks for the suggestions though.
