Republicans Kill Pro 2nd Amendment Bill in South Carolina

Quote:~snip~

Sen. Larry Martin ® was a strong and vocal opponent of the bill. One of his constituents, who asked him to advance the bill, received this response from Martin: “If the 2nd amendment has been as you interpret it, why hasn’t SC law reflected that for the last 140 years? I’m sorry but you are describing an “unlimited” right that has never been the case with the 2nd Amendment. My view of the 2nd Amendment has always been the right to own guns and keep them in our homes, business, and property and not to wear a gun whenever to wherever I pleased.”

South Carolina rules and laws are so strange to the idea of liberty, it is hard to believe they are actually located in the Western Hemisphere.

They ought to call themselves South Sharialina.

Have you ever met someone from SC?

Not trying to generalize here...

Don't know if it's the accent...

Or the history of poor decision making...

But... I can't help but think...

Well...you know...

Just saying...

Yes, because the residents of NJ, NY, CA, CO, IL, MA, CT, MD, DE, and the City of Philadelphia are some great thinkers too. Granted there are a lot of stupid rednecks down south, don't associate the accent with stupidity. Hell, with all of the people I deal with at work, NYers (NYC, specifically) and people with the "Fargo, ND accent" are the ones that irritate me the most when I'm trying to work with them. ....I think the NY stupidity is more of a pompous, know it all, douchebag attitude than an actual stupidity.

Uhh... no. South Carolina is socially repressive. Want a tattoo? Not happening. Piercing? Nope. A drink at a restaurant? Sure, but only in more expensive and individually taxed mini bottles.

That's for starters.

Must have been a while since you were in SC.

Tattoo parlors are legal in SC, with some restrictions.
