Ron Paul hates the UN so much, he appeals to them for help...

Eh, that's life. Big Grin

That would be an example of using the website in bad faith and she'd have no problem getting it seized.

Ron Paul is, after all, a politician....more or less just like all the others. You really can't get away from it, as much as you like "your guy"..."your guy" is still just a politician.

actually, the more I'm looking into this, the less I'm finding Ron at fault here.

as I mentioned earlier, the dude who owns ronpaul.com voluntarily agreed to the ICANN dispute resolution policies when he registered the domain, which apparently is through a division within the UN.

Don't. Just don't. Making excuses for Paul here will cause you to lose any shred of credibility.

Whether or not there is an arbitration process in place, Paul is allegedly the champion of true capitalism and free markets. He should simply pay the asking price or walk away. Anything else equals hypocrisy.

This thread is filled with almost as much humorous irony as the article itself...

My bad. They didn't actually use her whole name: senatorfeinstein.com

It doesn't look like it's up yet that I can see.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

it is certainly ironic that he's filing a complaint with icann, but unfortunately they regulate the trade of domain names. would you guys expect him not to call the police after he shoots an armed intruder? he's a libertarian, not an an-cap.

That analogy makes no sense and holds no water, sorry. No crime was committed against him. The free market is at work and he doesn't like it so he's going to some regulatory agency for "justice". That's everything he claims to be against.
