RUH ROH - Obama's Past On SYG Catches Up To Him
Don't look now but Mr "we need to look at these laws" co-sponsored the Illinois SYG law:

Quote:President Obama may currently be calling on the states to review their respective “stand your ground” gun laws, but he wasn’t always so opposed to the right-to-carry rule.

In 2004, while a senator in Illinois, he co-sponsored legislation that allowed for the same rights.

The text summary read: “Provides that it is an affirmative defense to a violation of a municipal ordinance that prohibits, regulates or restricts the private ownership of firearms if the individual who is charged with the violation used the firearm in an act of self-defense or defense of another. Effective immediately.”
It may have been more of Castle Doctrine thing than a Stand Your Ground thing, much as we might have wanted it to be the latter:

Not that he and Biden haven't been all over the place depending upon the direction of the winds. That said, it doesn't appear that the "Washington Times" gleeful "gotcha" is much of a gotcha.

But the actions ALWAYS go to the Tyranny or the race baiting.

His past rantings never caught up to him on Gitmo, Patriot act, Iraq surge, gay marriage or a half dozen other things, why would this?
This will pan out exactly like Obama being opposed to gay marriage before he was for it, and Clinton signing into law the defense of marriage act before being opposed to it.

Then doesn't matter, now does. He just has to oppose it now, and the liberal lemmings will go back to thinking the sun rises and sets in his pants.

I had a problem like that. Preparation-H cured it.
