S&W M&P 9c thoughts

question
I'm considering getting either a Ruger SR9c or S&W M&P 9c. I previously owned a Ruger SR40c that I later sold to fund another gun. I prefer the 9mm over the .40 (personal preference, nothing based on statistics), and I really do miss the ergonomics on the SR40c when I use to conceal carry it. I've held a M&P 9c, but I never shot one. I did shoot a M&P 40 full size, but wasn't a fan of the trigger. What are your thoughts about the M&P 9c? I know I can get the apex trigger for the M&P 9c, but I was looking for a gun I can more so start carrying after running a few boxes of ammo through it. Thanks in advance for everyone's input.

Have you thought about the M&P Shield.. comes in 9 or 40. I have one and its a fantastic carry gun. Different trigger then the larger models I believe and I like it. I rarely leave home without it. A friend of mine has the Ruger and he likes that. I know people with the M&P9c and like that. Its almost like asking what flavor do you like. Its probably more personal preference to what you like in your hand and the style you prefer.

The shield looks like a great gun, but I want a little more capacity. So far I am leaning towards the SR9c. It has a better trigger, comes in stainless, and I can either carry 10+1 or 17+1. ......but I am still looking at the m&p 9c too.

I love my 9c. I sold my Glock and have not looked back.

I purchased from Tanners for 479 last year. No mag safety no manual safety and factory night sights.

I am member of CP. I think that have them to rent but not sure.

For me, the M&P is more comfortable. It can also carry 17+1 using a fullsize M&P mag (and xgrip adapter to make it looks more natural). If you get the M&P 40c, you can get a M&P 9c or .357sigC barrel to shoot out of it for around $70, so that gives you some options if ammo availability becomes an issue. I shoot 9mm out of my full size 40/.357 mags without a problem. Some people have feeding issues and need to get 9mm mags.

Have you checked MP-Pistol.com forum on the M&P9c. Also Apex
Tactical for trigger kits, reset, etc. Check it out for solutions you
seek. I have no problems with the full size M&P in 9mm.

I keep getting drawn back to the M&P pistols but can never allow myself to dive into them because of the magazine price. I love the way my M&P45 feels in my hands but even with the Apex kit I'm still not happy with the trigger.

I love the Apex Forward Set Sear. No pretravel, light pull, short audible and tactile reset. Which Apex kit do you have that you're not happy with?

Duty/Carry

I was happy with it until I started putting Fulcrum triggers in my Glocks. I'm thinking about picking up the forward set sear along with their billet aluminum trigger to see if that gets me closer to what I like.
