Safe New York Act Mishap: Wrong Guy's Guns Confiscated In Erie County

AMHERST, NY - A mistake was made in Erie County, while law enforcement and the Erie County clerk were carrying out the Safe New York Act. The Buffalo News, YNN and other western New York media outlets are reporting that an Amherst man's weapon's were confiscated on Wednesday, supposedly because the man had at one time taken an anti-anxiety medicine in the past. However, it appears that either state police or the Erie County Clerk's Office, (or both) made a mistake in the identity of the Amherst man, and took the wrong person's weapons.

According to online reports from the Buffalo News and Capital Tonight, both the state police and the Erie County Clerk's Office are blaming each other for the mistaken identity, and the Amherst man whose weapons were confiscated, his gun permits will be reinstated.

This incident involving an Amherst gun ownwer is proof to both the Erie County Clerk, and the Allegany County Clerk Rob Christman, that the Safe New York Act is seriously flawed. "To go after an individual incorrectly when they knew the system was flawed, and now what we have is confiscation, we have a travesty, we have a tragedy, we've embarrassed somebody, and it's what's wrong with government in New York State as we speak," Christman told WLEA/WCKR News. "I just find it very disheartening that it's gotten to this point," said Christman. LINK: http://www.canisteovalleynews.com/local/...ounty.html

It's past "time", but we can't yet. We go now, they will be able to show violence and disregard everything we worked for. Let them take the first shot.

A thought. What is happening to the guns being confiscated? I know the LEOs are taking them home to play with. But what is the official answer on that?
This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins. -Ben Franklin

Did you know that deep breathing, a glass of wine, a cigarette, and consensual sex can all reduce anxiety levels?

No guns for anyone!
Soldats ! Faites votre devoir ! Droit au cœur mais épargnez le visage. Feu !
