Does anyone know what's up with SB 10, if it died, or if we can get it moving again?

This one? http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/bill...=B&BN=0010

If so, given that it was last tabled in July it appears to be dead, I expect it to remain so.

Yep, that one.

I was hoping someone either knew why it "died" or if there was some way to "resurrect" it.

I can say that a few gun bills died around the same time as this, I see no chance of a resurrection.

Right now PA reps are more concerned about which office they'll get next session, who they'll invite to the swearing-in ceremony, what their food and transportation for said ceremony will be like, and what committees they'll be on next session to do anything of substance now.

They'll pass that which can get through without divisive dissent and proposed amendments. SB10 doesn't fit that category. After all, they still need time for all their resolutions they want to vote on as well.

If this gets a vote I'll be shocked, but if you want it to move contact Turzai's office to see if he wants to bring it forward late in the game at all. I have to check to see if there are even enough session days remaining to do anything with it should he want.

You need to touch base with leadership about it; Turzai's office will probably be vague and unhelpful about it unless it is on the list of priorities. If it is on his list of things to do they'll be very helpful and friendly over the phone, if not you'll get some excuse about what else has to be done. That is, at least, from my experience on other matters when contacting offices via phone.

Ok, thanks for the info!
