Senator Bob Casey is at The Pa. Farm Show this week
The Pa Farm Show started this past Saturday and will run through this coming Saturday (January 12).

As like last year Senator Bob Casey has a booth there.

Now he will only be there one day.

Last year it was on Thursday of the Farm Show.

But his aide is there all week.

I feel this is a great opportunity for 2A supporters to show up to his booth and state your 2A position with the aide.

I even encourage you to draw up a letter for her to hand deliver to Senator Casey.

As has been stated in other threads, senator Casey has changed his stance and now appears to be supporting gun-control.

He has not done this in the past and may be either riding the emotional wave with all the others, playing "Yes Man" to his party, or truely has changed his stance.

We need to remind him the person who was voted in was done with the understanding he would continue to support our 2A rights as he has done in the past and we do not expect him to change now.

I ask that you address either Senator Casey and/or his aide in a respectful manner so he does not see our side acting crazy like to fearful anti crowd.

This is not saying "don't be strong about your beliefs" but do so in a respectful manner so he can see we are not radical in a negative sense as the other side is.

His booth is in the Main Hall which is the southern most building and has an entrance off McClay Street if needed.

The booth is in the far north-east area (opposite end from all the free food samples) of the Main Hall and is on the second aisle in and maybe the third booth from the eastern most outside wall.

No fee to get into the building but a $10 per car fee to park.

Again, he is not in through the week but last year he made his personal appearance on Thursday.

Here is a chance to state your case in person!!

God bless!!

Realizing many of you may not have the time or ability to get to the Farm Show I thought about how you can still get a ltter there.
If anyone wants to email/PM me a letter for Senator Bob Casey, feel free to do so.
We are headed back down this Friday and Saturday and I will hand deliver them.
I will not alter any of the letters.
I will just print them off and hand them over to Casey or his aide.
An attachment would be great for printing purposes.
However, if you make it a part of the body of the PM/email, I will copy and print.
Maybe have your real name and a second line with city to make it more viable.
If you feel comfortable enough to put your full address down that would be great.
It would give more support behind your letter and they will not be kept by me.
I have enough going on in my life to worry about harrassing you people.

We will be heading down Friday around noon.
I am with the Fellowship of Christian Farmers whose booth is right behind Casey's.
Feel free to stop and say hello over our way if you would like to any of you heading over there.
Look for the name tag in our group = Michael.

God bless!!

I have your letter printed off and ready to go with me tomorrow afternoon.

To any others:

Again, I urge you to take advantage of me making a personal appearance and appeal with Senator Casey and/or his aide.
I emailed him but I am also going to write a letter and hand to them.
This situation is very, very serious.
There is talk of a Presidential Decree which bypasses the normal process of going through the house and senate.
In other words, Obama can do what he wants and to heck with the country.
And if he does go the normal route he does have another vote for a ban.

Here is Senator Bob Casey's reply to my email (which he now states he will support a ban):

Dear Mr. Steele:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me about the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. I appreciate hearing from you about this issue.

As you know, on December 14, 2012, an individual in Newtown, Connecticut forced his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School and opened fire on teachers and staff in the building. In total, the perpetrator murdered 20 students between the ages of six and seven years old, as well as six adults, many of whom heroically sought to stop the shooter and save the lives of children. Like many Americans, I was deeply affected by the scope and brutality of this act. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.

The motives that led to this senseless massacre will likely never fully be comprehended. However, I believe that all public officials have a responsibility to work to prevent such an event from occurring again. This incident reflects a complex problem that requires a comprehensive strategy, including funding for law enforcement officers and the mental health care system. Too many individuals with mental illness are not receiving the services they need and tragically, sometimes a small number of these individuals turn violent. I have supported access to affordable and accessible mental health services for all Americans and I will continue to review proposed solutions to improve our mental health system.

As you may know, I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Pennsylvania has a fine hunting and sporting tradition, and I will defend the right to bear arms as it is enshrined in our Constitution. However, I also believe that the attack at Sandy Hook Elementary School highlights very serious dangers posed to public safety by the misuse of certain weapons and technology originally developed for warfare. According to reports, the shooter was able to kill many children and adults very quickly because he possessed a military-style semiautomatic weapon. He also allegedly used magazines containing up to 30 rounds of ammunition and carried hundreds of rounds more. After much reflection and careful study of the issue, I have decided to support a federal assault weapons ban as well as legislation restricting high capacity clips. In light of what occurred at Sandy Hook, these are two measures that will lessen the chances that this will happen again soon.

Our Nation has already begun a critical dialogue as we examine what steps must be taken to prevent this type of tragedy in the future. On December 19, 2012, President Obama announced the formation of an inter-agency task initiative, led by Vice President Biden, to study these issues and recommend possible actions. I look forward to reviewing these proposals, as well to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address this complex issue.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future about this or any other matter of importance to you.

For more information on this or other issues, I encourage you to visit my website, I hope you will find this online office a comprehensive resource to stay up-to-date on my work in Washington, request assistance from my office or share with me your thoughts on the issues that matter most to you and to Pennsylvania.

Letter delivered!

I printed it out on blue paper so in the sea of white paper letters, yours would catch his eye quickly.

Thanks for taking the time to write a letter.

You were the only one.

God bless!!

Anyone have a discussion with this POS?
"In 4 more OMao years you won't like how America looks....I guarantee it."
“When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.” -- Thomas Jefferson
No discussion with him.

He only comes one day with his aide taking the other 7.

He usually comes on Thursday and we could not get back down until Friday.

I share the frustration you have with him.

Maybe it is better he only comes one day since he could take a real verbal hammering if he would be there all 8 days of the Farm Show.

He is like many others that will flip-flop their opinions as their party dictates.

I feel it is our duty to remind him that he ran on certain principles that we agreed with and for him to change these principles after he is elected is a form of treason.

He is a representative of ours elected and sent to convey our likes and dislikes and to work to accomplish them.

So many today have their own agenda.

They run promising all the things that we want and then doing what they want.

At my work place a person is hired to do a job and if he does not do the job he can be fired on the spot - let's fire him!

Just a thought.

God bless!!

PP, I emailed you a letter Friday, It did go through?
With the Second Amendment saying what it says, Why isn't the Federal Government Suing NY

Thank you again for your help!

Hopefully with that sea of white, this flip flopper starts to get the idea that his political future now has a term limit.
