A Connecticut shop that sold a gun to the Newtown school shooter's mother has lost its federal firearms license.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives revoked the license of Riverview Gun Sales in East Windsor, about 15 miles north of Hartford, in December. The agency didn't disclose why. It was first reported Thursday by The Journal News of White Plains, N.Y.

Authorities raided the store for undisclosed reasons shortly after the December school shootings. Around the same time, a man was arrested for stealing a rifle from the shop.

I'm sure it wasn't politically motivated. Wink

Of course he was, I'm surprised they haven't charged him for aiding and abetting Adam Lanza, because liberals are crazy to the point of being retarded.

Not just liberals, progressive liberals. It should be considered a mental illness.

How do they find out which store sold them to her?

The article I read today on this sounded like it was totally unrelated incidents that the media put together to seem related.

1. Shop sold mother a gun a long time ago

2. Somebody stole a rifle from shop

3. Shop loses license for unpublicized reason.

In other words, the shop probably did something dumb having nothing to do with the Lanza thing, but they're not releasing it, because then everyone else would know it has nothing to do with the Lanza thing, and we can't have that.....

The paperwork you fill out when you purchase a firearm that gets sent to the Federal & State Governments most likely.

Investigations/inspections usually require that the bound books be copied.

"They" as in the media? Probably leaked by the investigators. How did the investigators find out? Probably by doing a forward trace through the ATF.

I mean the ATF. I've always thought the forms we fill out remain at the FFL until the ATF asks to see them. In other words when I just picked up my really cool Tavor the FFL did not notify the ATF of my purchase and would not know of it until the ATF audits the FFL.

When they do a forward trace through the ATF, they'd take the serial number of the recovered firearm and determine which gun shop it was sent to from the factory. They'd then visit that gun shop and go through the bound book to determine who it was sold to.
