Shot in the Leg

Since this is posted elsewhere, might as well post it here as well. Already endured flaming, trolling and people calling me names... why should I exclude everyone over here as well...

Honestly, I've given up caring what people think and what their theories are. But feel free to join the party...

Those people can go screw themselves. An accident happened, you got to walk away and hopefully we can all learn from it.

What position was the trigger in after the gun discharged? Still forward? Have you ruled out the possibility that the trigger snagged on the holster, or piece of clothing, or anything else?

Don't know the position of the trigger... i was on the ground bleeding. I'll bet it was reset since the slide cycled and another round was in the chamber.

Catching on the holster, possible. Currently the gun isn't in my possession but I will check to see if this is a possibility.

Clothing not possible. My shirt was fully tucked in and it was clear of the trigger guard.

That's true, I didn't think of that. What kind of holster were you using?

Comp-Tac International. Same one I use for IDPA with no issues. Only difference is I installed the drop-offset for USPSA.

I'm sure you're punishing yourself more than anyone, and in addition to your injury, I see no reason to pile on. I'm just glad that you're alive to tell us about it, and hopefully we can all learn something from it.

I'm glad you posted this here. The comments you are getting on YouTube are uncalled for I think. I fear this every time I holster. Honestly I have considered carrying an XD just to have the grip safety which I could keep my hand off of while holstering, mostly because I am paranoid not because I think people should do things that way. That's why I asked on YouTube what the state of the grip safety was during your incident.
