Should I Trade My 2 P95's?

I spoke to a woman from Ruger today about parts. She said the P series guns are "obsolete" and Ruger will no longer stock parts. What would you do?

I'd sell them to me for $1 each.

Pick up an extra firing pin, extractor and magazine latch while the getting is good and carry on.
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.

Apparently they are. This really aggravates me. I always liked Rugers but this has soured me a bit.

i somewhat agree with rik bitter. grab a few extra wear items and move on. put them up in storage as backups or shtf guns if you don't want to carry a non warrantied item. it seems that most common firearms made since the 80s aren't worth reselling as you may have to take a bath on them, especially if they're being phased out. i fear i may be in your shoes soon. i carry the walther p99 and with each new walther model released, i see fewer of the p99s i carry on shelves.

The problem is, you cant get parts now. I cant find any except a few springs. E Bay has a one used set. If I can grab them I will feel much better, but the bids are flying and I dont know if its worth the money.

There's lots of parts if you know where to look.

Let's rephrase the circumstances.

Right now you have 1 Ruger P95 and a 100% set of spares ...

Doesn't that make you feel better about it?

As has been said ... stock some critical spares and move on ...
