Should I trade my Complete Lower?
#1
Do you guys think I should offer to trade my complete AR15 Lower? I already have a 16" and a 20" Complete rifles and this was to be my 3rd but now I can find an upper for a decent price to finish it off. I have always wanted a .50AE Desert Eagle or maybe even a Beretta 92 (M9 or Inox) or a Saiga 12 but I think a pistol would be my best bet for a trade.

What do you think a complete LMT lower with East Coast Gun Sales roll marks built with PSA classic LPK, T6 stock and an Ergo PG upgrade is worth? Do you think someone would be interested in a trade? I'd certainly be willing to pony up some cash depending on the value of my lower.

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

You should strip it and sell me all the parts.

ETA: Well not all the parts. Just enough to complete my Cav-15 lower. So that would be:

Buffer
Buffer spring
Buffer detent and spring
Selector w/ spring and plunger
Bolt hold open w/ spring and plunger
Mag catch assembly
Trigger, hammer, and associated pins and springs

You can keep:

Buffer tube
Stock
Pistol grip
Takedown pins
Trigger guard/pins

So I guess that's a no? Sad

I'll do a full review on the Cav-15 once I complete the build and shoot it, but my first impressions are that it's pretty decent. Really lightweight, comfortable, and feels extremely solid. Fit & finish leaves a little to be desired, as there are lots of visible mold marks on the inside & out, and the machining of the FCG cavity is less than ideal. It just seems like they rushed it. But most of that stuff can be touched up with minimal effort, and I don't regret my purchase because of it.

Sorry for the thread hijack, but you asked for it. Big Grin

Yes, I firmly believe that you should trade your lower. You can trade it to me for three boxes of 9mm Mak ammo. Big Grin

Yeah, I probably would trade for one of the mentioned guns but selling is not an option...wifey smells money like a shark smells blood in the water! If not, I'll just keep looking for a decent priced upper to finish my dream Vltor CASV build!

Haha, me too...I have yet to list it here or poofa. Although I did offer a while back to trade for an unconverted Saiga 12...but that is over inflated now also!
