I've been busy breaking in the bearing all weekend...at some point I'll take it apart and lap the outer surfaces.

I'm not a huge knife guy and don't claim to be any kind of expert but I know what I like and what I use. Just found a knife that I intend to add to my EDC and I'm super excited about it.

I'll start out by saying it's a Gerber. *GASP*

I know I know not another walmart blade but hang on, this one is different. Check it out.

This thing is beyond cool and for 50 doll hairs I won't be ashamed to use, abuse and lose it. My main attraction to this knife is the sheath and I've been looking for a good utility/fighting fixed blade that I can carry comfortably. I'll probably carry this scout style but may switch it up a bit and carry weak side 10 o'clock horizontally.

I ordered one like in the video above but they also offer a coyote version and partially serrated blades in both colors.

I've ordered a couple of knives from CFK/IPAK now. Holy shit, these things are beastly. Really good pics of all their offerings on their eBay store.

Not mass produced, some of these blades have only a handfull of copies made.

Been carrying this Gerber Strongarm for about a week now and I love it. It doesn't dig in when carried horizontally while sitting, it's easy to get to with either hand and stays in the sheath with only the friction lock. I always seem to find a need for a knife multiple times a day and it's nice to finally have something that's comfortable to wear and doesn't interfere with my other EDC items. I might pick up another one or two to keep in various bags and loadouts at some point.

Plus its Made in USA!

The paracord didn't come with it, just something I added on for fun...

Nice. I'm not a big fan of Gerber, but recently acquired a Prodigy at a flea market; the guy was selling it for $20, without the box. It's basically a smaller version of your knife. The one thing I DON'T like about it is the sheath, but I don't know how to work kydex or leather, so until I learn or find someone who can, it sits in a drawer.

Thanks. Same here, Gerber lost me with all that Bear Grills crap. I like that this one is made in the US too. The prodigy is the same exact blade I think but the strongarm has better sheath and handle. The steel used in the blade is nothing g to write home about from what I've read but it'll be just fine for what I need it to do. It came razor sharp already too.

The wally world by me started stocking the strongarm, may be worth a look.

Just picked this up from GearBest.com, it's a Ganzo 729, or as I like to cal it, a Spyderclone, hahaha. It's a clone of the Spyderco Paramilitary, except it comes with an Axis lock. It's pretty impressive; China is really upping the game lately. I've been using it now for a week solid, and its as good as any knife I have, and it cost me less than $20.[Image: 2zjcems.jpg]
