Sicklerville Neighbors Fight Outdoor Gun Range Near Homes
#1
So the range has been there since the '50s, their homes haven't, but they have rights.
Libtard elitism once again.

Gloucester County residents are fighting an outdoor gun range in their neighborhood.

"I like to plant flowers, invite people over and have barbeques," said James Mair. He loves his Sicklerville home. Especially his serene backyard.

"It's beautiful out here," said Mair.

But nearby farmland where an outdoor gun range operates is disturbing the peace.

Mair said, "It's not pistols. It's large caliber rifles."

People in several surrounding neighborhoods are complaining about that same wincing sound. But more than that they're concerned about the close calls they say they've had with stray bullets.

"We're concerned about a bullet maybe hitting the high school or elementary school. In the area there are four schools. Also multiple homes have been struck by bullets," said resident Warren Woods.

Amazes me that people that buy homes KNOWING that things like this are in the are ( or they should at least ) then complain about it.... Had the same thing back in Wisconsin when people bought homes abutting farmland ( because it was open green area with fields of corn, hay etc... then bitched when the farmer put out the fertilizer because of the smell..

Well, they took him to court and LOST... plus had to pay HIS expenses for an attorney... and guess what... the VERY next day he "placed" his "normal agricultural practice" items right along their fence... on his land of course...

PAYBACK.... I hope they take him to court and they find that since they moved their and the gun range was there LONG before them, that they have no right to have complain....
You want to take my guns away ???? SCREW YOU ............

Why would you ass-u-me that the neighbors are "liberals?"

Or was it just the old standard "blame it all on the libs" bullshit?

NIMBYism and elitism seems to cut across the entire political spectrum.

In fact, nothing brings diverse neighbors together faster than shutting down the airport, firing range, or farm that they saw when they looked at their house.

I grew up in a town that had an airport at one end and a RR running thru the middle and Southern ends of the town. Well some douche bought a house that was next to the airport, separated by the RR. They complained about the noise from the airport. They pushed so hard that a barrier wall was put up, between their house and the airport. The engineers placed the wall on the airport side of the RR. Every time the train came thru all the noise was directed towards their house.

Whenever I read a story about this I wish the outcome was as sweet at that one.

Sadly, our friends at Wicen's are having to put up with this crap from their NIMBY newcomer neighbors. It's costing them a bundle to put up more and more in the way of berms to assuage these jerks zeal to see them shut down---- after more than a half a century in the same spot.
