So this Glock 26 follows me home...

...now what? Never had one before. It feels kind of weird having one. Was going to let the wife have it, but she doesn't like the ergonomics. Always had a hard time getting used to not having an exposed hammer. I'm not even sure it is safe to keep it in the same safe with the Sigs and 1911s! Big Grin

If you feel that you cannot handle such a rambunctious firearm, I can give it a good home. It will be able to play with another 26 and a 19.

Did you get it new or used? Gen 3 or 4? I'll be picking up a gen4 g26 sometime in the future when they are readily available and at a normal price.

Its Gen 3 (2.5). My buddy bought it new in 2003 and hated it from the start. He probably shot less than 200rds thru it. I traded him a pistol that I didn't want. I did order some G19 mags for it and the extenders. It might take the place of my P-11.

It will certainly grow on you over time. I've spent the last two years trying to replace my 27 as my EDC. The replacement never last more than a week or two, I always go back to it.

Be warned, this former Glock hater started down the slippery tupperware slope with the purchase of the 27....

Same here. First time I handled a 17 back in the 80s, I was more than a little turned off. I've handled water pistols with better triggers.

Until I fired it. Total game-changer.

Ugly as dogshit, but utterly reliable *and* accurate. No exposed hammer or other "bits" to get snagged on clothing. Without any historical provenance or collector vale, it was the perfect streetgun.

I'll up that to a 26, a 19 and a blue-label 34.

I have my GSSF coupon to use so i will either get a g26 or a g30s but i also want a g21 when they are re-released in OD green.

I already have a g17 and 2 g19's so a g26 is "needed" to finish the set. i dont have a use for the long slides, so I'll pass on those.

G/F's kid just came home with a G30. I wanted to hate the thing, but now that I've handled it fully loaded I must say that it's probably the best-balanced pistol I've touched.

The design of the recoil spring is a work of genius, too.

It could sure use adjustable sights, though.

I have a G30SF. I put a hogue grip over it and switched out the factory recoil rod with a tungestion rod. It's the most accurate striker fired .45 I ever fired. I can't comment if it is more accurate than 1911s because I never shot a Kimber, Wilson Combat, Colt, other high end 1911s yet.

Used my instructor discount to get a Crimson Trace laser for this gun. I never liked lasers, but couldn't pass up the 40% discount.
