SOLD Ruger American .308 (NIB) SOLD
#1
Selling for a guy who found out he is prohibited at this time from owning firearms.

Ruger American .308 Win. Black Synthetic (Catalog #6903) 22" bbl, no sights or rings but scope mounts are already installed. Don't have pics but you can see them on the Ruger site.

This is new in box, only been taken out to record the serial number in my bound book.

Buds sells it for $342 shipped. I will sell it for $330 shipped to your FFL in the lower 48 states. AK and HI will cost more. If picked up at my shop (outside State College), subtract $25. Price includes PICS for PA residents (if picked up at my shop).

Is your friend really able to no longer own, or are they only not able to possess? There is a distinct legal difference between ownership and possession.

I didn't realize the difference until I read this amicus that was filed yesterday.

I am not a lawyer so I am not going to get into any arguments about possession vs. ownership. When a person attempts to purchase/take ownership of a firearm (one that they may have ordered from an out of state source) in PA and when undergoing the PICS is denied, they cannot take possession (ownership) of that firearm. If they already own other firearms, it is no business of mine (the FFL doing the transfer of the firearm) and I am under no legal obligation to ask them if they own/possess any other firearms. As he was denied I cannot, by law, transfer the firearm to him.

This gentleman had done something in his past that made him a prohibited person and as such he could not take possession (own) this particular firearm. We discussed all the options and he wants me to sell it rather than to return it to the source that he purchased it from.

Also, this is the classifieds section and as such, this type of discussion should really be in another section so I will not answer any other questions/comments of this type in this thread.

If you are interested in purchasing this rifle I will answer any question you have about the rifle/price/my shop location, etc.

Please refrain from adding commentary such as this in classified ads. If you have specific questions about the firearms operation and such, that's what you ask. This is not the correct place for legal questions. You are free to send the OP a PM and ask such questions, and he would be free to answer or ignore them.

Thank you.
