Quote:COMPANY WITH TIES TO THE FEDERAL GOV’T DESIGNS UNSETTLING TARGETS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMUNITY

The company calls it the “No More Hesitation” series...

“Law Enforcement Targets, Inc. provides training targets and supplies for military branches, government agencies, law enforcement agencies, training organizations, private ranges, gun clubs, and shooting enthusiasts in the United States,” a Bloomberg profile on the group reads.

The goal of NMH is to break that stereotype on the range, regardless of how slim the chances are of encountering a real life scenario that involves a child, pregnant woman, etc. If that initial hesitation time can be cut down due to range experience, the officer and community are better served.
There are seven targets in the series: Pregnant Woman, Older Man 1, Older Man 2, Older Woman, Young Mother, Young Girl, and Little Brother.

“Considering that the company has landed $5.5 million worth of contracts with the federal government,” Riggs notes, “it might also be interesting to know if these targets are being used by federal law enforcement agents.”

Law Enforcement Targets, Inc. did not immediately respond to TheBlaze’s request for comment.

Great! Now the police won't have to think twice about shooting a citizen legally carrying a firearm down the street. Dodgy

What I meant is that the "do not shoot us targets" never held weapons before ....I do not think.

That is fucking disturbing.

On a side note, I just started making "cop" targets. Anyone interested? Rolleyes

ETA: Seriously though, hesitation on the behalf of a police officer is a GOOD thing. It should be encouraged........no...........REQUIRED.

Actually, targets like these have been around for years. Even thought this might be a disturbing though, the reality is that a pregnant woman, child, old person, etc. can just as easily kill a cop - or you - as easily as a 20something male. These targets shed light on that fact and help shift the decision to shoot to if the person is a threat instead of the demographics (age, gender, medical status) of the person.

Every time I have seen them used has been in shoot/don't shoot scenarios, and just because a "bad guy" has a gun doesn't always mean they should be shot in these scenarios, either.

P.s. these targets aren't restricted to law enforcement, so anyone can get them. It's not like this company is trying to help police kill innocent women and children.

This is true. The LAPD hasn't needed anyone's help in shooting noncombatants. Dodgy
