SOS Solar Oven review
I bought myself the SOS Solar Oven for my birthday and I was able to test it out yesterday. I like this company because they use recycled material and they are a non profit company that help third world countries. I'm no tree hugger by any means, but the company is solid, so I was happy to give them my money.

The main reason I bought a solar oven was because I wanted to be able to cook food without having to start a fire. You can smell and see a fire from miles away. I also like the idea of not having to use my conventional oven in the summer time when it's really hot. I don't want to pay more to run my AC while cooking in my oven. The solar oven will keep my house nice and cool.

I thought about making my own solar oven, but most of the instructions I saw online were cardboard and I wanted/needed something durable. I didn't mind spending the $202 shipped for a product that will last for years to come.

The SOS is less expensive then the most popular solar oven, but it works very well. I bought the kit that included the reflector for winter cooking.

I made corn on the cob and carrots yesterday. The sky was cloudy towards the end of the day, but at one point the oven was 220 degrees.

I'm looking forward to cooking a whole meal with my oven.
