If we lie to the government, it's a crime. If the government lies to the people, it's called politics.

Do they even have AR's in Pittsburg? I thought they were still cap-and-ball out there.

"Roberta Cook, a Franklin Regional School Board director and a member of its safety committee, said the local schools have well-practiced procedures in place for such events.

"But I'm just glad it wasn't a shooter, because if it had been a shooter, there would have been fatalities," Cook, whose children previously attended the school, told FoxNews.com"

Because knife wounds are NEVER fatal Huh

It certainly was, and on top of that it had to be a high capacity assault knife. (How else could he cut 20 students in such a short time?)

Those who make things happen,
Those who watch things happen,
And those who wonder what happened.

Think of me what you will, but she's absolutely right.

That is still not reason enough to ban guns of course, but this incident only helps to underscore how this type of violence is the problem and discovering why and how to prevent it should be the goal, not the instrument used and getting them banned.

I read one article and it was like at least three times they were stating how happy they were it was "only a knife". Number one, tell that to the parents of the kids in the hospital, how happy all the authorities are. Number two, really--violence isn't truly bad unless it's a gun? Okay.....

I get how they are glad there were no fatalities but I hate how they want to downplay this as being "safer" violence. And is someone on the property had a gun, maybe 20 people wouldn't have been stabbed. That's a lot of people before this was stopped.

I’m with Camper – very glad the idiot kid ‘only’ a knife instead of a AR. The same way I would rather my car be hit by a bike than a Mack Truck.

Not sure why this is such a hard concept to grasp. Between this and Sandy Hook I would take this all day long.

Innocent children were attacked at school and the immediate response of the entire country is political BS and personal agendas. The media will continue to sensationalize the attacker showcasing his entire life on every TV and newspaper across this country and others; setting yet another example for the next person on how exactly to go about getting massive amounts of attention that mommy and daddy don't have time to give.

If one of my children was a victim of any kind of attack at school and somebody approached me about the incident saying anything about gun rights and politics I would punch them in the face without thinking twice.

At least in this case the kid is alive. Parents can get answers. Unlike Sandy Hook and Aurora... dead shooter = no answers
